INVOICES! Needs revamped to work with boutiques and retailers!!!
INVOICING IS LACKING and not professional for the customer. It’s absolutely not user friendly or fair to boutiques or retailers selling multiple items and charging shipping unless I am missing something. PLEASE look at PayPal’s invoicing for reference. My biggest questions are….Why does Clover only allow one total for invoicing? Why does Clover not have a SHIPPING option?⬇️
You can only put a total on the invoice. If I am selling multiple items to a customer. For instance, a shirt, jeans and a piece of jewelry. You need to have a option to add each individual item to the invoice and not just a total. The customer needs to know what they are paying for just like a receipt shows!? I guess I could add each individual item to the notes but how unprofessional and that takes too much time. Just allow Clover users to add each item versus just a total. Yours is actually the only one like this. All other platforms allow you to add each individual item to the invoice so the customer knows what they are paying for. Yours is set up for food maybe or would be ideal if the customer was only selling one item.
Your invoicing system was obviously created for restaurants. You only have a option for TIPS? I am a retail boutique and not food. Anything I send, I have to charge shipping. Tips and shipping are not taxed so I have to put the shipping in the TAX option and then explain to the customer it’s not a tip, it’s shipping. It looks extremely unprofessional. Why don’t you add a shipping tab for retailers just like a tip option or let the customer choose tip or shipping from a drop down? Or again, if you made where we could add each individual item as PayPal does, then I could add it there and just choose no tax on shipping.
Basically, your invoicing is super generic and very unprofessional for retailers that sell multiple items and have to charge shipping. If this was updated, everything else is super easy. Again, look at PayPal’s because their invoicing is amazing and very professional looking!
Please fix your invoicing system so boutiques and retailers can use it too.

Why is clover so behind when it comes to invoicing??? I’ve asked for years why your invoicing system is not more user friendly. WHY HAVE YOU NOT MADE IT WHERE WE CAN INVOICE DIRECTLY FROM THE CLOVER APP??? Clover wants us to go into the website. Then the website doesn’t work well with certain search engines and then I have to sign in and it’s not easy finding your VERY GENERIC invoice. By the time I get the customer emailed, I want to throw my phone!! Just add invoicing or a separate app for invoicing only and problem solved. With boutiques, we invoice a lot through email and I almost refuse to use what you have available so I go through xxxx. Be like xxxx because they have an amazing professional looking invoice for retailers! I'm now looking to pay a 3rd party and with as big of a provider as CLOVER is, that’s completely ridiculous. Please get with the times and make invoicing easier for boutiques. Ohhh, and don’t forget to add an option for shipping. It’s bazaar your team created an invoice and did not put a shipping option on the invoice? Most places charge shipping. The invoicing challenges through Clover is what’s going to make me look for another company and system like xxxx.

INVOICING IS LACKING for retailers that sell multiple items. Unless I’m missing something, as it is now, you can only add a grand total to a invoice. Retailers sell multiple items and the customer needs it itemized on the invoice just as it is on a receipt. Next, you don’t have a shipping option on your invoices? Why not? Questions below…
1. 2. Your invoicing system was obviously created for restaurants. You only have a option for TIPS? I am a retail boutique and not food. Anything I send, I have to charge shipping. Tips and shipping are not taxed so I cannot add it into my total because it taxes it and you don’t charge taxes on shipping or tips. I have to put the shipping in the TAX option and then explain to the customer it’s not a tip and that it’s shipping. It looks extremely unprofessional. Why don’t you add a shipping tab for retailers just like a tip option or let the customer choose tip or shipping from a drop down? Or again, if you made where we could add each individual item as PayPal does, then I could add it there and just choose no tax on shipping.
It’s time to update your invoicing so retailers can add multiple items and shipping versus just a total with no explanation on what the customer is paying for.
