Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.



Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

Invoice: Ideas related to Clover’s Invoicing feature.

Kitchen Management: Ideas related to KDS, Kitchen Printers, etc. 

Menu: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

I have had a few restaurants that have bars included in the restaurant, and they would like to be able to have customization options on printing seats and the layout of the menu as far as categories based upon whether the device is at the bar or the devices in the restaurant we need to be able to differentiate the layout of the menu from one device to the other and we also need to be able to decide whether or not we want smart tipping or tip at the device as opposed to tip on the receipt between the…

  2. Currently, the Epson printer connection with the Clover POS does not allow us to limit printing to only to-go orders or online/mobile orders. As a result, labels are being printed unnecessarily, which leads to wasted supplies.

    We would love to explore adding this functionality to the integration, as it would help streamline operations and eliminate the need for additional labels going to waste.

    Please let us know if this is something that can be supported now or considered for future enhancements.

  3. When a server is assisting a table that has multiple guest and one of the guest leaves early and pays their tab, the system prompts for all the remaining guest/table to pay out their order, otherwise the table is locked and no other edits can be done. Can we make an enhancement to where the table can still order, etc?

  4. Enable printing the dining table name on the credit card payment receipt's merchant copy. This is helpful to the merchant as their servers share tips with the chefs at tables from certain dining rooms. This feature was available in the previous version, but is no longer available after replacing the Clover Station.

  5. We need to be able to "rename' in the Clover Dining App tables/tickets that have multiple guests. This will help us:

    1) Make a personal connection
    2) Identify which guest ordered what
    3) Simplify the billing process when we go to collect payment

  6. Need to be able to control which discounts are available per job code.

    Currently the discount permission is all or nothing. Meaning, a employee can either have the ability to discount or not discount.

    We are requesting the ability to assign discounts to certain job codes so that they can have access to some but not all discounts.

    It currently is all or nothing.

  7. When commencing an oreder in the takeaway section of the dining app, i then have to add guest numbers and then hit takeaway again for order type, if not it defaults to dine in. once you have added an item it can not be amended. this step is counter intuitive as you have aleady initiated the order in take away and should not be necessary

  8. custom items do not print order docket in clover dining app. This means my orders and not made and customers do not get their order. Fix needed

  9. When Applying discounts it discounts the whole ticket. We would like to be able to apply our military discount to just the veterans meal and not the whole ticket. Please and thank you!
