Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

  1. When a customer is a member of a wine club and they pay their monthly fee they get a $30 store credit. We need to be able to issue store credit and have it linked to a customer profile and then when that customer makes a purchase allow us to click their store credit from their profile as a payment method.

  2. Inventory Refunds/Returns need to be able to automatically add the item back into inventory. Ideally, this would be configurable at the Item level to indicate if the item is to added back to inventory upon a refund.

  3. There should be a should a way to add discounts to specific customers. An option to have a customer pricing list that you can attach to specific customers. I run a flooring supply shop and I deal with frequent customers that are always given a set discount percentage and/or specific prices on specific items. I have to manually enter either the discount amount or percentage every single time they make a purchase. I would like the ability to set the discount automatically when the customer is added to the order.

  4. I migrated my pos to Clover and I am not that happy. It has no basic options like giving offers to customers like buy 1 get 1 free or buy 1 get 50% off to each product.
    When we add each product to the inventory, need the option to add offers to each products.

  5. The current inventory system shows the stock count for each item but doesn't display the total number of items sold or remaining in stock. It would be helpful to add a summary that shows both the total quantity in stock and the total number of items sold for better tracking.
    Also, it would be very helpful if new items imported into the inventory were automatically set to 'automatically manage availability' rather than 'manually manage availability.' Currently, we have to change this setting for each item, which is time-consuming and prone to errors. Setting all items as automatic will help us…

    Please allow for copy/paste functionality for phone numbers.
    I have to copy/paste to the e-mail field to then type the information in the phone number field.

  7. When performing a refund, the only option is to select payment form for the refund to return to. As a small nonprofit boutique, we'd like an option to select store credit so we can be guaranteed to keep the sale.

  8. We have been using the Clover rewards program for almost a year now. If a customer has a certain amount of points, say 1000 or more, and they decide to redeem a part or all, there is no option to do that. The option that is presently available is that they can only redeem 50 points out of the total. Eventually, with this method, they will keep accumulating more points without being able to benefit from it. Hence, implementing a feature that allows the customer to redeem part or all of their points at their discretion would be practical and…

  9. There should be a way to import customers from a different POS system and be able to include their balance. We have may customers that have items on layaway, or money on their account - and there is no way to get that information into Clover.

  10. After we process a payment, there should be an option to select a main email accounts to send the payment receipt. At the moment, we have to manually type in the email account each time we want to send the receipt to our email.

    This will save time and also reduce error by not needing to manually type in the email for most transactions.

  11. When entering stock quantities, the staff is able to add more than the amount stocked to check...why? Isn't that the entire reason for adding the stocked quantity?

  12. As a business owner, the most basic and essential promo of buy one get one free (BOGO) is missing in your features and there is no good way of doing this. I would think all of your customers would benefit from being able to run that type of a promotion. It could be for the same item, or it could be for select comparable items, or even at a category level. This is not a reward. It is intended to be a promotion to get customers in the door.

  13. Customer purchase history needs to be able to be transferred from one Clover sales channel to another. At this time there is no 3rd party app to assist with purchase history - only customer name. This is important for repeat business and for the merchant to engage on going with their customers.

  14. “Points towards perks” should actually reflect points. I entered a receipt code from a $3k, purchase the receipt said “Get 3707 points towards perks”. Then I entered a code from the same establishment where my receipt said “Get 12000 points towards perks”. I got the same exact 5% off QR for the $12k purchase as the first purchase. So there are no points - this is a garbage gimmick. And if the “point reward” is chosen by the vendor, perhaps you should advise them that not offering a “reward” would be better than finding out they give everyone the same…

  15. I have items that are buy 4 get one free or buy 4 and get $4 off. I would love for these discounts to be attached to this items so when I change the quantity it automatically applies

  16. There should be a way to see the card holder name after you submit the payment. You should be required to enter the customer name data before submitting payment.

  17. A Small business owner stated that when a gift card is LOST and the owner of the gift card is given a paper receipt ... it would be helpful if the paper receipt had the complete number on it. Understandably, the store owner does not want to loose out on sale if the gift card had already been used.

  18. Link to store inventory entered in Clover and allow for custom items line by line with option to add sales tax to each.
    Also include an option to add shipping line
    Allow to link with DAVO like the rest of Clover sales.
