Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

  1. When performing a refund, the only option is to select payment form for the refund to return to. As a small nonprofit boutique, we'd like an option to select store credit so we can be guaranteed to keep the sale.

  2. Enhancement for Clover Gift Card App --

    When setting up the Clover Gift Card App, enable on-screen prompts for the user so that it prevents them from setting up a secondary gift card entitlement number, causing unnecessary impact to the user. Potential probing prompts on screen, such as:

    1. Do you already have a Gift Card Entitlement Number?

      • If so, enter here ____ - then it would allow user to enter entitlement number, syncing and chaining the location to all other locations which share the same entitlement number
    2. Do you plan to use gift cards at other locations?

      • if yes: prompt…

  4. It seems like gift cards are not compatible with the Clover Go, gift card acceptance would be a good thing to have for the Clover Go System.

  5. A Small business owner stated that when a gift card is LOST and the owner of the gift card is given a paper receipt ... it would be helpful if the paper receipt had the complete number on it. Understandably, the store owner does not want to loose out on sale if the gift card had already been used.

  6. I migrated my pos to Clover and I am not that happy. It has no basic options like giving offers to customers like buy 1 get 1 free or buy 1 get 50% off to each product.
    When we add each product to the inventory, need the option to add offers to each products.

  7. I have not heard of this in circulation and would be a unique feature that most point of sales do not offer. Here is the functionality.

    When a a customer calls, the system identifies the phone number and matches it to an existing customer profile in the Clover Point of sale. If a match is found the profile is displayed on the clover device, allowing staff to view or edit details, or create new sale or order. If no profile exists, it prompts the creation of a new one using the caller's information/or just phone number.

  8. We have been using the Clover rewards program for almost a year now. If a customer has a certain amount of points, say 1000 or more, and they decide to redeem a part or all, there is no option to do that. The option that is presently available is that they can only redeem 50 points out of the total. Eventually, with this method, they will keep accumulating more points without being able to benefit from it. Hence, implementing a feature that allows the customer to redeem part or all of their points at their discretion would be practical and…

  9. When a customer is a member of a wine club and they pay their monthly fee they get a $30 store credit. We need to be able to issue store credit and have it linked to a customer profile and then when that customer makes a purchase allow us to click their store credit from their profile as a payment method.

  10. As many companies use external options for a marketing suite then Clover apps, I believe having an export of the rewards data is very valuable. Since there is no direct correlation between Rewards Users and Customers inside of your clover account, there is no dedicated API endpoint, or means of export to get rewards users, but there is for Customers. I would like to see either the relationship between Rewards Users & Customers, or a way to export Rewards Users data, as this is an easier way to keep your marketing avenues up to date and in sync with your…

  11. There should be a should a way to add discounts to specific customers. An option to have a customer pricing list that you can attach to specific customers. I run a flooring supply shop and I deal with frequent customers that are always given a set discount percentage and/or specific prices on specific items. I have to manually enter either the discount amount or percentage every single time they make a purchase. I would like the ability to set the discount automatically when the customer is added to the order.

  12. Merchant is asking for a branded app that is developed or created by Clover that works with their online ordering and rewards.

  13. The digital gift card feature is no longer showing up on the gift card app. This is a useful feature because we don't have to always use the physical gift cards.

    Please allow for copy/paste functionality for phone numbers.
    I have to copy/paste to the e-mail field to then type the information in the phone number field.

  15. Use the customer facing screen from the station duo 2 to upload marketing jpeg or PNG announcements, when the customer is waiting for payments, multiple promo ads are changing every 5-10s on the duo customer facing screen

  16. I would like to access the open orders report on a monthly, or with a custom built date range in the dashboard, right now its only available in the device and as a owner of business its not possible to have a physical presence before the device to run a report.

  17. There should be a way to import customers from a different POS system and be able to include their balance. We have may customers that have items on layaway, or money on their account - and there is no way to get that information into Clover.

  18. After we process a payment, there should be an option to select a main email accounts to send the payment receipt. At the moment, we have to manually type in the email account each time we want to send the receipt to our email.

    This will save time and also reduce error by not needing to manually type in the email for most transactions.

There was an option within an order that would take you directly to the customer's profile (marked by a blue box with a pencil inside of it, just below the employee's name that was taking the order). Can you please add that back in? I noticed it missing about 8 days ago. I thought it was a setting on my end, but it was due to a software update.
