Many merchants using Payments Only ask me if it's possible to configure their device to automatically print two copies of their payment receipts. Although the first payment receipt will print automatically, unfortunately, there is no way for the second copy to do so.

The current work-around is to manually press the "Print" button immediately after the first copy comes out. This may seem like a simple-enough solution, but employees will occasionally forget to press print, thus increasing the reconciliation workload for their accountant/manager.

Cross-checking third-party POS software with Clover's physical payment receipts is a more traditional approach to reconciliation, but it's still very common. Moreover, upgrading their Clover SaaS plan or looking at integrations is not a viable short-term solution. These merchants simply want a machine that will automatically print two copies of their payment receipts.
