Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Customer Engagement Features. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover software to improve customer experiences, increase traffic, and retain loyalty for merchants. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas about built-in functions on the Clover Dashboard (feedback on customer engagement apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.

  4. We are seeing duplicate customer in the customer file. I suspect that there is a sync issue between the customer file, rewards, & text/email receipts. We can manually add a customer on the back end, but when they sign up for rewards it creates a new customer record. On transactions where we have a validated customer, if we select to email/text them a receipt it prompts us to re-enter phone number/email address which creates yet another duplicated customer record. How do we keep our customer file 'uncluttered' with duplicates?

  5. I would like to send my customers a birthday coupon for each month. So if there is a way to group just the birthdays for one month to send to only those customers that one month. Like January birthdays could be pulled up and send a mass text to just those customers with a Happy Birthday message and a coupon. Then month to month for the year. I do have my customers set up on the reward program so I do collect their birthday information each time they sign up. Thanks!!!

  7. When a card is run with the same name as someone in the Customers app with notes, the note should appear in a popup in the Register. That way, for example, we can write "Always gets 10% off" or "Use house tab" or "Do not serve" and it will show up to more easily communicate with our staff.

  8. Merchant is using the payments service plan and is able to download and use the customer app, create, edit and save customer profiles. But when he processes transactions through VT and assigns a customer to the invoice, the email doesn't automatically populate.

  9. Since the Station DUO (previously called the PRO) came out i haven't had a more frequently requested suggestion from my retail merchants. Typically if a customer has a phone number or email on file in the customers app the merchant has the ability to select email receipt or text receipt (on file) after the sale. This option is still here w/ the station duo however on the customer facing display the options for email receipt/text receipt will not autofill w/ the customers info on file. Rather if they desire to receive their receipt via text/email they have to manually enter…

  10. Please, please, please add the features below asap...
    -Allow merchants to merge duplicate customer profiles
    -Allow merchants to export all of the sales data for individual customers (needed for frequent buyer programs etc.)
    -Provide different options for sorting customer names
    -The customer search function needs to retrieve any part of the customer's name. For example if the customer has two last names the search function only works if you search for the first one

  14. Non-profit needs the ability to export each transaction by customer at the end of the year. If you add this feature, it will greatly expand Clover into non-profits.

  15. This is exactly what Square does, and it works wonderfully and seamlessly. When a customer pays at a Square terminal with a credit card and inputs their email address for a receipt, the card number and email are automatically associated and saved across the network. From then on, any Square terminal will automatically email a receipt to the same address when that card number is processed.

    Presumably some customers will not want this option, even if the address isn’t used for marketing purposes, so there should be a way to opt out.

  17. As a customer it is annoying to have to enter my email address with every transaction. Square is able to retain a customer's email address (presumably tied to credit card).

  18. I suggest that when a merchant is entering a phone number, to prevent duplicating the phone number in the system, or when entering a new customer with an existing phone number can be prevent it by the system as already exist.

  19. We understand that their name does appear in the notes section of the order tab but often times, we need to use that area for notes and not the customer name.
