Saving an order while taking product out of inventory before customer pays.
We continue to have issues with our inventory system due to common scenario when a customer calls in an order or emails an order. The problem is we are unable to enter the order into clover without them paying for it at that time. What happens we can enter the order and save it, but it doesn’t take the product out of inventory. While we wait for the customer to come in and pay, someone else on line or in store can still purchase the item and buy it from underneath the customer who has it on hold because it wasn’t taking it out of inventory. What we want is to be able to place an order that takes the item out of inventory without paying for it. Currently we are having to manually take the items out of inventory then add it back in when the customer comes in. But that brings up another issue. Even if we place it back into inventory in clover it doesn’t sync with Ecwid in time and it totally throws off our inventory. We could ask for the customer to call in with their credit card to hold the item, but then we have to manually enter that card which cost us 5% in fees compared to the 2% when we actually physically swipe the card.
Please help!

We are a bakery that has the same problem. We need to be able to create an order that removes the reserved products (usually from phoned-in orders) from inventory (making it unavailable for online or in-store sales) but remains open until the customer comes in and pays. Without this function, we can not operate our online storefront without risking overselling our products.
