Management Functions

Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

8. Other Management Suggestions: Place your idea here if you have feedback that does not fit in any of the other forum categories.

  2. Merchant would like a way to apply discounts to COLO orders the way they can on the device. The merchant has a promotion running that they can use on the device but online orders have no way of taking advantage of the discount

  3. Our customers have continuously requested an option to add pictures to the online ordering so they know what they're ordering, such as Uber Eats, Grubhub and so on.

  5. Currently gift cards can only be used in person. There is no option to use digital gift cards online. We are curbside only right now so customers cannot use gift cards. Customers should be able to input digital gift cards online.

  6. Have the stock tracking and limitation for Online Ordering, therefore if an item it out of stock it will hide on the online ordering to prevent customers from selecting that order.

  8. The focus of a customer's online ordering page shouldn't be Clover's own branding and color scheme (imo). The Top banner has CLOVER with a giant GREEN banner. Green is NOT a good color for restaurants, and again, the focus should be on the customer brand/logo and the Clover name should have a reduced profile. It's about the customer. Make the BG color white, the Clover text black/neutral. This is small change but I think it's emotionally impactful for new merchants who see this page for the first time. The look, feel, and emotional resonance of our OLO, is falling short…

  9. When using the scheduled order feature, create a threshold with an extra prep time buffer or alert for larger orders. Concern is that with the order ahead functionality, restaurant may not see the large order in advance to adequately prepare and/or disrupt the day's production line.

  11. It would be great if it would let us customize the look and feel of the web ordering page to some extent.

    • Company logo
    • Colors (background, text, etc..)
    • Fonts (font-family, font-size)

    It would also be great if you could add some ready-to-use cook-looking skins.

  13. Picture this: it's a busy rush. Chef says we are out of GUACAMOLE don't sell anymore! So I have to leave the cash and:
    -go to the office
    -open a browser
    -go to clover.com
    -sign in
    -click on account & setup
    -click online ordering
    -click online menu
    -de-select GUACAMOLE
    And then I need to head back up to the cash where I've been absent for 2-4mins

    This cannot be the way!

    Can we please get an option on the device to do this?

    I can even suggest the placement:
    -Click on Inventory
    -Click on item desired
    -Check box beside 'Show…

  15. COVID changed our lives.
    Clover it's a request to add the following features to help us survive.
    1. Ability to modify or add prep time while confirming the order
    2. Text communication with customer regarding accepting and order ready for pick up
    3. Direct partnership for delivery with Doordash or Uber
    4. Use Uber for reference their system is very good, don't need delivery tracking.
    5. Online pool max for not accepting more than what we can handle.

  19. The merchant needs to be able to apply a quantity to a modifier associated with a selected item within Clover online ordering.

    EX:
    Customer choices and item called 'dozen bagels'. They want to split the flavors and select multiple types of different flavors to be included.

    This option is not available on Clover Online. Having an option to apply a quantity to not just an item, but modifier as well will help restaurants with better online ordering flow. Customers have to use the special request to grant this. Most Customers may miss the special request field.

  20. Can you please allow us to set online service hours for any time, i.e. 11:59 pm, since the system will not accept 12:00am or beyond because it is on a different day. It would be convenient to be able to change the day, i.e. operating from Wednesday 9:00 pm to Thursday 1:30 am.
