vendor management & inventory reordering/receiving
Having a lot of experience with the other major POS providers in the market, I am very surprised that Clover does not have a better inventory management system. Virtually all of Clover's direct competitors offer this essential service. Currently, all third party apps are clunky and create more confusion than help.
I believe Clover should specifically have the ability to:
1.) Set low inventory thresholds and reorder quantities. (dynamic thresholds would be best to accommodate business's with changing seasonal sales)
2.) Ability to assign each product to a corresponding vendor
3.) Ability to create purchase orders for inventory below the desired threshold and send to a vendor by email.
I would be happy to consult further as I sell Clover systems through First Data and want to see this implemented to benefit my customers. As of now I have 3 liquor stores that would like to enroll in clover once these features are addressed.
Thank you for your consideration.

Please create a way for merchants to manage their vendors within the inventory app. We are currently working around the lack of ability by inserting the vendors in place of labels and/or revenue classes. If there could be a deliberate spot for vendors within the inventory, many retail and restaurant merchants alike would really appreciate it.
We understand that there are 3rd party apps that support this feature, however many merchants get turned off to the idea of using a 3rd party app. Even when they opt for the 3rd party, troubleshooting for the merchant becomes more difficult as we now have to rely on a separate party for support. This creates a negative experience for the merchant, which makes them more inclined to find other processing solutions.
It would be a bonus to manage the vendors within the Excel template

Please add a way to manage vendors. I don't understand why you did not do this to begin with, I should not have to buy a subscription to some 3rd party app to do this.

Honestly this is a major let down about clover. This stuff could be implemented so easily. Unfortunately clover tries promoting 3rd party apps that give them a cut instead of doing the work themselves. There App Store model is the reason clover doesn’t absolutely dominate the POS Market. I have to recreate my excel script but for now creating a master inventory list that records order amounts and vendors would be your best bet. Once set up you can literally copy and paste your inventory into an excel sheet and it will generate all your amounts that you need then you can sort by vendor and copy and paste your orders to each vendor.

We have had some luck with the ShopVentory App. You might look into it.
