Clover has completed development for rounding and is rolling it out to all merchants over the next few weeks. We will try to prioritize the merchants who have been in contact with us over the past few months on this topic.

It's mindblowing that Clover has yet to implement a feature to allow for the rounding of cash totals to the nearest penny. The US Mint announced it had ceased minting pennies back in November, and yet Clover won't have a feature to support rounding cash values to the nearest nickel until June.
This feature is CRITICAL to cash transactions across the U.S. as many banks have already stopped stockpiling pennies. This feature should have been available on Jan 1 at the latest.
Clover should make this the company's top priority. It should be simple to implement, and it is affecting businesses using Clover to process cash now. -

After speaking with Clover Tech Support, I was told that this fix will not be implemented until June 2026. Meanwhile Pennies were discounted in November of 2025. I have clover in 6 locations. I have been unable to get Pennies from any of our bank locations as of January 1. I cannot understand what would possibly take so long to do a simple programming fix. If cash total ends in 1 or 2, change to 0. If total ends in 3 or 4. Change to 5. Please tell me that Clover has a programmer who can get this done before June!!!!

We need the ability to create discount codes to adjust the total amount due after taxes are applied due to the fact that pennies are going away early in 2026. We would like to limit the discount codes to only cash tender type.
We would like to add 4 discount codes after tax (for $0.01, $0.02, $0.03, and $0.04) to officially reduce the total down to something divisible by $0.05 for cash tenders, as the banks are already limiting and/or refusing to provide pennies.

Banks are notifying use they will no longer be carrying pennies. We need to have the POS round the total to the nearest nickel for cash transactions.

For cash payments, we have found that prices are not rounded.
For example, a purchase of $1.27 rounded up to $1.30 or
When refunding, instead of $3.02, round up to $3 or instead of $2.78, round up to $2.80.
This worked very well on our old cash register system.
