There are a lot of ways to take a payment. Provide your ideas to help advance Clover’s payments acceptance process here. We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!

    For a more feature-rich payment integration, we would recommend using our Hosted Checkout solution which could include tax calculations. Our Payment Links product is meant to be a simple and quick way to accept payments online.

  3. It would be most helpful if there was a feature on the Clover Virtual Terminal Payment Link that would allow the cardholder to check a box if they would like to pay the convenience fee.

    This would benefit many merchant, most notably charities that take donations on their website.

  4. Most customers prefer to enter their credit card for recurring payments. As a business owner I should be able to setup a recurring payment plan for a patient and request the patient to enter the payment card. This way we are not manually entering the patient's card details. This feature is available in Loyalzoo Memberships app. This feature would be a great addition to Clover Dashboard

  5. We need the clover to distinguish the difference in cash and credit, On the print bill we need the bottom to show the cash price and credit price built in. NOT using a third party app, We want it to be in clover built in. We want the receipt to show my menu price and also the 4% credit card price at the bottom of receipt. and also if credit card is run then the 4% more would be charged on card if cash is used then the 4% discount which is my menu price would be charged.

  6. Merchant would like to restrict and limit employees to add tipping over certain amount of percentage being tipped by the customer. To verify the employee is not over charging customer if the % limit is reached.

    Example:
    Total : $100
    Customer pays
    Tips are enabled for printed receipt.
    Customer pays over 35% than the regular suggested tips enabled on the set up app under the tips section, manager or admin would like an approval or permission to ask for an approval after entering tip amount over the limit amount.

    Thanks for your feedback. 

    Today, we currently prompt the user to confirm a very high tip (over 30%). Our assumption is that only managers and admins have access to the Tips app, and believe that this warning is sufficient. 

    If managers want further control over their tip entries, they can limit the tips permission for respective employees.

  7. Remove the automatic BOLD disclosure of the service charge on the bill.

    This should be an option if the merchant wants it disclosed on the bill. This causes less tipping for servers in clover dining

  9. On the Flex, there is a cancel button while the transaction is being processed only for contactless payments. This cancel button does not appear for any other transaction type such as EMV chip. Would like to have this cancel button removed for contactless payments.

  10. The merchant would like the ability to accept dynamic currency without the use of hardware. No workaround available workaround at this time. Also, make the feature available for use with card holders other than Visa and Mastercard

  11. Tipping option should appear after the self payment system on Clover mini just like Square payment device. Or we can set up the function as before or after the credit payment is done. Sometimes customers put their credit card on the screen and press the tip option on the screen and assume the payment process is done. Then we have to explain that it's not done and the customer become skeptical because they have used to square device. Can we uniform the process just like major POS system, please?

  12. On the flex device, if a CVV is input incorrectly the entire transaction must be restarted.

    Rather than retyping the entire credit card number again it would make sense to have a back button, and the clear button seems to be perfect for this. When the data is cleared from press 1, pressing clear a 2nd time should return you to the previous screen.

    Similarly, when a manual entry is declined it would be nice to have the data still in place for a second attempt but with the option to edit the price.

  13. Bring back the Manual Card Entry button. Otherwise make the button optional so that we can turn it on for staff profiles as desired.

    I understand the type of fraud we are avoiding by not having the button customer facing. But it should be optional at the management level. In our location all sales are manual entry so this change has caused several additional steps per transaction and will require some light but unnecessary staff retraining, then will continue to waste time per transaction with new steps every single time.

    TLDR: Bring back manual card entry, but as an option…

    If merchants require manual entry on your Flex, you can use the phone sale app. If using the Register app, you can use the Mail/Phone Order button when selecting a payment method.

  14. I would like to change the language from "Add a Tip" to add a "Add a Donation." We have customers that want the money to go all the staff including admin.

  15. Could you guys allow the recurring payment be printed from the device if an overdue amount status is shown and if a paid status is shown. Also a batch report for recurring payment if multiple payments are made on a particular day.

  16. As Clover continues to expand in the ecommerce space, merchants are requesting a Verified Merchant Seal (similar to Authorize.net or Paypal gateways) to identify to their cardholders that transactions are processed securely

  19. VT sends auto correspondence when saving a customer profile with their card information, merchant would like them to confirm or cancel instead of letting them do it online. Merchant would like to have the option to add a note to the email or at least have an option to not add a mandatory email.

    Clover requires this email to ensure consumers are agreeing that the card is being stored on file. 


    We strongly recommend that the merchant obtains consent from the consumer before saving the card on file.

  20. Once you ring a transaction on the Virtual Terminal, this "void" button appears right next to the "done" button. We accidently clicked "void" and a receipt was generated saying VOID. SO, we re-rang the transaction (Clover support said the original transaction had been voided by clicking the "void" button"). Only to find out, nothing had been voided and customer was double charged. PLEASE eliminate this button since it doesn't really void anything OR move it to the other side of the screen if it's supposed to void something. We have had it happen 3 times now cause of slight…
