Management Functions

Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

8. Other Management Suggestions: Place your idea here if you have feedback that does not fit in any of the other forum categories.

  1. A much needed update would be a warm welcome when it comes to the complexity of Clover's Service Plans. Merchants should be able to switch from ANY current service plan to any other ones from their Web Dashboard, including the older Register Plan at $29.95 per month. At the moment, some service plans require the credit card processor to completely re-provision the device in order to switch plans - costing the merchant time, money, and patience.   2. Currently the only tax options in Register/Register lite for Custom Items are No Tax or Default Tax. It would be valuable to be able to include whichever taxes are necessary on Custom Items.

  3. Please add variants to the Counter Plan. After speaking with support, the only way for our business to add variants is to downgrade our service, which is not an option.

  5. The new Retail Growth Plan has "Printer Labels" within the Inventory, and it is confusing for retailers that want to print barcode labels. Please update the plan to change the verbiage and/or to enable merchants to print barcodes/labels for retail.

  6. There should be a way or a program that let's you control your POS from a distance. I should not have to physically go into my restaurant to fix some minor issue with my POS that requires a Manager's passcode.

    Please Develop a program that let's me access my POS from a computer outside of my location or wifi connection. If I can connect to CloverGo from my phone, I should be able to connect my laptop to my Pos Solo or Flex.

  7. Add a link in a recurring invoice for the recipient to pay manually when the card on file does not process.
    Currently if the card attached does not process, a new invoice has to be created. That is an unnecessary step.

  8. Please allow medical industry professionals to switch and change their subscription plan to be able to keep track of taxes and service fees as certain providers sell glasses and other items that need to be taxed.

    Business owners are switching to other merchant services companies that allow for the taxation of their services and the items they sell.
