Need Ability to Adjust / Sort order of Items and Modifiers in dashboard
Once an item is keyed into a category the order can't be adjusted. Likewise with Modifiers. Many Merchants prefer to organize by most popular or alphabetically but they currently only display in the order keyed.

We use a lot of modifiers to make sure all possible changes can be made to any item in our system. This creates a ton of clutter when you pull up and item, and the modifiers come up alphabetically. If we could edit the order of modifiers, we could make it a lot more user friendly for our employees to focus on what's most important first. We would like this because we look down a lot at our tablets instead of looking at our customers. We also want to be able to change the modifiers within a modifier group. That way, the most likely options for an item can all be at the top, and the least common at the bottom.

If you go to inventory app on your pos system screen, go to the modifier groups, on the right there are 3 lines of you click them you can drag to move the modifier and it will change the order they come up

This is an issue for our restaurant clients; when the kitchen gets busy, they may have 25 open tickets and when the food items are in all different places across the receipts as oppose to being in the same preferentilal order, service slows down.

Change the name of the group name in modifier groups in alphabetical order.. ie a.wing will come before b.party.. so just a a single letter in front to order of importance

This update is needed tremendously, regardless of order of modifiers within the clover station, or backend, or the order of modifiers keyed in, They need to have a set/ solid order that won't change depending on the order keyed in, or selected. Please make this update.

Yes, please make this update. Modifier MUST BE IN ORDER THAT IS PREFERRED by the restaurant, if a customer changes their mind mid-order and wants to add a modifier (say it is to change the base of their bowl, which is usually the first ingredient) it is ordered by the way it was keyed in. This is very frustrating.

Yes, we need the modifiers to show in a specific order, regardless how they are entered.

We need the items to be sorted on the kitchen printer receipt so that we can cook more efficiently. EXAMPLE: Fish takes 9 min (should be first), Egg salad sandwich takes 1.5 min. should be last on the kitchen printer. MOST POS systems have this option! Please help!!

The person responding is not understanding the request, I have the same request. I need the order that modifiers show up to be modifiable. Currently I see no way to fix this, a very rarely used modifier shows before essential ones, how do we change this?

Yes you can re-order categories, but if the customer changes their mind mid-order (for counter service specifically) and the user at the register needs to go back and make a change, it updates in the order the keys are pressed and not in the order that the categories are listed. This causes confusion in the kitchen for many counter services places that build sandiwiches, pizzas, smoothies, salads, or other items with lots of modifiers. Please add ASAP as this is a common compliant.

We have many clients asking for this - Aaron is correct below, priority of how modifiers print on tickets is key.

Would like to be able to arrange the order of how the modifers are arranged and how they print on tickets going to the kitchen. Currently it only prints in the order of entered. However, we need to set priority of print order regardless or the order entered in the station.
Attached is a link for how Toast manages this in their backend.

Unless I misunderstand what you want, you are able to reorder categories, items, and modifiers. For example, if you go into categories, on the top of the list is a button that says "Reorder Categories". Click there and then you can arrange them however you want. The same with items and modifiers.
