Why Can't I exchange items for others with a different value?

Merchant would like customer to be able to exchange items for others with a different value without having to issue store credit, etc.

    this seems like it is being requested many times! Clover, please do a search in this portal for Exchange and you will see how many merchants are requesting this.

    Please allow for a merchant to exchange an item for another item that’s a different value. Why make the process so tedious?
