add items to order that has partial payment

we do a lot of custom orders that require a deposit. then have customers come and add more stuff to the order and we can not add anything else to the order once a payment has been processed. we have to make an additional order for the same customer. then bill them out on multiple invoices. i need to add items after a partial payment has been received to eliminate the customer having to swipe his CC multiple times for different orders on the same job.

    If one person leaves the table and pays for their food but the rest of the party stays and continues to order more food and drinks we need to be able to add that to their table. Currently, if partial payment is taken you cant add anything else to the table.
