Per Device Default Order Type

It would be great to have the ability to set the "Order Type" default per device.

For example. The Clover Station in the bar defaults to "Dine-In" while a Clover Flex is used outside for Curbside orders without having the user have to change the order type on the Non-Table Order or the Register App each time an order is done.

This would allow flexiblity to have some Flex Units default to "Curbside" or "Special Event" if they are used for outside catering.

    this would have to appy to all clover station devices including flex and mini.
    It would be nice if their was a function to link specific categories with specific order types, for instance if i have a repairs order type when my associate clicks on an order type to start a new "repair order" only the categories that are linked to that order type will display on the register order screen. This would be helpful so the associate would not have to scroll through all category types to find the associated category for that order type. This is mostly because on this type of order their are no barcodes to scan so the associate must scroll through at find the appropriate category to select.

    I agree! We have separate printers to handle takeout and dine-in, so if we forget to click on "takeout", the order prints as dine-in and frustrates my cooks lol

    I agree this should be by device. Our two Station units are either Take Out or Eat In. However, our Mini is always Take Out. Again like the others commenting, most of the time our cashiers remember but when they don't, it becomes very frustrating!

    I have a restaurant with 1. POS in front of the restaurant that ONLY takes "take-out orders", 2. POS in back of the restaurant by phone that takes ONLY "pick-up-orders", and 3. Flex handhelds that takes ONLY "Dine-In" orders.
    Our default is set to "Dine-In" as our flex users needs to be fast. Problem is that our servers and host "forgets" to select the proper order type for Pick-Ups and Take-Outs and the orders are going into the kitchen as dine-in.
    10 minutes later, food comes out of the kitchen on plates and servers ends up tossing the food in garbage and we need to re-make the orders.

    If we can select the default order type by device, this can be prevented 100% of the time so please add this functionality to the devices. We are so razer thin on margin and wasting food that costs 60-70% food+labor 2-3x a day is eating up the tiny profit margin, if any that we have.
