Add and edit item variant on web dashboard??

I am a new Clover subscriber and while I am trying to set up a menu on the dashboard I was told I could not add item variant on dashboard but have to do it on the device. Isn't dashboard the most convenient place to edit and manage things while with the touch screen you do not even have a key board to type? Made me wonder are there more ridiculous design of the software of Clover.......

    How can this not be added yet? If I find a pos system with these options then GOODBYE Clover. Web access is not an optional service but a necessity. Let's go clover!
