Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Reporting Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover reporting software to help merchants run their business more effectively. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in reporting functions. We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Reporting Functionality: Ideas here should explicitly focus on the practicality and usefulness of Clover’s reporting feature. Is it easy to customize filters? Is the frequency at which reports generated sufficient?

2. Reporting Tips, Taxes, and Service Charges: This category should distinctively include all feedback regarding Clover reports producing intelligence on tips, taxes, and service charges.

3. Employee Reporting: This category should distinctively include all feedback regarding Clover reports producing intelligence on employees.

4. Inventory/Order/Customer/Sales Reporting: This category should distinctively include all feedback regarding Clover reports producing intelligence on inventory, orders and customers. This also includes reporting on sales/revenue.

  2. Merchant needs the system to pull up the NET AMOUNT of sales for
    an employee. The NET AMOUNT would be strictly the SALES amount and WOULD NOT INCLUDE TAXES. Especially for merchants who pay employees commission

  3. Tip Pooling-let's try this again since client's ask for it weekly...
    Client's want this as a NATIVE reporting feature from Clover. They want it as part of the system they are already paying for, not a 3rd party app that costs them $100 a month. Can someone please look at TipHaus and bring it "in house" with Clover?
    This is critical if we are going to be in the food and beverage space.

  4. In my 25 years of restaurants, I've never experienced a system that doesn't provide servers a detailed report of exactly how many cash sales, cc sales and cc tips were made that night. Along with a final owed to the house.

  5. Merchant would like to have a detailed shift report per employee that can be printed off for the week. This will provide insights on hours worked per employee without have to add the hours up.

  6. A lot of Business Make 2 or 3 shift daily, that shift have Start with petty cash leave the last day after close the last shift. We can insert a deposit in Clover the same day of the Reporting but if we leave a deposit the last day in the new day of reporting that petty is not.

    Is a great idea how much is the petty leave in the cash log for the next day.

    In the day we can change the Crew 2 or 3 times. We don't have a close shift button with remove cash sales and…

  7. Clover needs to have its own Time clock reporting s,ystem. In the shifts APP if I want to look at a weeks worth of shifts it does NOT TOTAL up the figures. If I am doing payroll I have to add up all the hours, sales, etc.

    Our customers depend on third parties which is not good. Homebase has increased their pricing, and its malfunctioning in the reporting. My clients cannot get accurate numbers.

    Clover should invest in TIME CLOCK REPORTING charge 4.99 a month for it with server banking and such. Shifts APP already does half of it. If…

  8. EMPLOYEE SUMMARY BY REVENUE needs to be able to be exported and or printable from Dashboard and from Device on shift

  9. SALES OVERVIEW report BY EMPLOYEE ON DEVICE.
    Merchant has 2 shifts in bar. Would like to have a sales overview report that staff can access from Device to turn in with their paperwork and money at the end of each shift. The report should give a TOTAL that is due. Cash less tips. This is a BASIC restaurant function and one that we can not believe we can not get!!!!   10. When accessing the items report via the dashboard, the merchant would like the data to show the items sold per category per employee. Upon review this is only possible if employees are filtered individually, which the merchant would like to avoid as it can be very time consuming

  12. Recently Clover released a new version of the Employee Sales Report under Reporting. The previous employees report showed the total number of transactions ran that day per employee. This was helpful for my retail merchants for a number of reasons. One in particular was so they can calculate their employees average ticket size.

    Strangely enough the New Employee sales report does show the average ticket size but it is only available and viewable on the Employee Sales Report in the Dashboard. not on the devices :(

    That being said a vast majority of my retail merchants noticed the change immediately…

  13. Under dashboard when you go to shifts reporting it shows each employees hours in hours and minutes (1-60 minutes) When we export the shifts report to print it, the minutes change to 1-100 and we have to calculate the amount of minutes for each employee on each shift for each day. We are an establishment of over 75 employees. Its a lot of extra work.

  15. I had an employee who was clocked in for 10 days. They clocked in on their 1st shift and then never clocked out. They worked a total of 3 shifts in that timespan. I went in to run the report for payroll and found she was currently clocked in. On the dashboard there is only a way to edit existing punches. There is no way to close her shift, or add a clock-out punch then edit it. A function to split the shift would have helped also

    Another work around would be to add an option to set a shift…

  17. Sometimes servers need to tip out bartenders based on bar sales. On the Server's report it should give an option to have the server's sales by revenue class show up so they can tip the bar appropriately.

  18. The clover devices does not have away for the merchants to see cash totals for each employee. The cash total is showing for all employees. The clover device need a way to show tender types for each employees and not just for the full day.
    I confirmed that on the dashboard we have away to see the tender types by employees but the merchant need away to see that same information on the device per employee.
