Reporting Functions

Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Reporting Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover reporting software to help merchants run their business more effectively. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in reporting functions. We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Reporting Functionality: Ideas here should explicitly focus on the practicality and usefulness of Clover’s reporting feature. Is it easy to customize filters? Is the frequency at which reports generated sufficient?

2. Reporting Tips, Taxes, and Service Charges: This category should distinctively include all feedback regarding Clover reports producing intelligence on tips, taxes, and service charges.

3. Employee Reporting: This category should distinctively include all feedback regarding Clover reports producing intelligence on employees.

4. Inventory/Order/Customer/Sales Reporting: This category should distinctively include all feedback regarding Clover reports producing intelligence on inventory, orders and customers. This also includes reporting on sales/revenue.

5. E-Commerce Reporting: This category should distinctively include all feedback regarding Clover reports producing intelligence on online electronic transactions.

  2. Export function that includes all transaction details (service/product sold/provided) and total paid of each customer.

    Current export function only lists customer information.

    As of right now, merchants can go into the dashboard and go into each individual Customer and see transaction history--but exporting it does not include transaction history.

  3. Some merchants would like to change or adjust the format of the sales report provided by the reporting app. In some instances merchants just need the overall amount for the day broken down in cash & credit cards.

    I am a bit confused by this ask of “In some instances merchants just need the overall amount for the day broken down in cash & credit cards.”

    We do have this capability in Tender stats reports ?
    which number breakdown are they looking for in cash and credit card which is currently not given ?

  4. Merchant wanted a reporting application where it tracks the total amount of how much stock started with and how much sold on all items
    In our current version on dashboard in reporting>items> it only shows items sold, not the amount/quantities it started with
    merchant doesn't want to pay at all additionally for 3rd party apps suck as "stock"

  5. Merchant wants a report that populates with customer names and how much they were charged. Ideally, the merchant would be able to filter the dates he wants to view this information for.

  10. The merchant would like to reporting app to be more unified and include customer reporting. merchant would like to access reporting and search for customers using the customer id or order id in order to determine the items frequently purchased per customer

  13. The merchant request to have reporting for customers where she can see which items was purchase per customer and date. The merchant would also like to be able to filter by date in the customer app.
    The merchant is able to export the spreadsheet however the items is not on the spreadsheet.

  14. It would be helpful to be able to export inventory items by category. I would like to be able to select a category, and get a spreadsheet of all the items in that category including their quantity on hand and cost. This would make taking inventory easier.

  17. Merchant requesting development of a report that shows how an item was approved to be deleted from the system (Employee Card, Passcode, Fingerprint) when using a Manager/admin to delete an item for a role that doesn't have permission to Delete an item from an order.

Currently the deleted items includes anything that was deleted...if a customer changes mind on an item (say from fries to onion rings) and the fry is changed to onion rings and then the ticket is saved. The fry $ is added to the report when it was never in there as a saved, open ticket. At the end of the day, deleted items is a "construed" amount!

  20. After payment is done. Clover is not able to go to the order and edit, remove, or void from the order.
    We are not talking about the payment done and approved. Just the reporting details side

    Example:
    1 Casamigo = $10
    1 French fries = $5
    1 French fries = $5
    1 casamigo = $10

    Device flex went offline and the server kept adding the duplicate items because she couldn’t see the item in “Review Order” from flex. She charges $15 approved credit card. Clover is back online and sees more items. Then there is partial payment left balance of…
