Export inventory by Category

It would be helpful to be able to export inventory items by category. I would like to be able to select a category, and get a spreadsheet of all the items in that category including their quantity on hand and cost. This would make taking inventory easier.

    It's been 3 years, so I am sure this won't be done. But I need this too. How is this not a feature?

    Yes, we don't always have the same items each season. It would be nice to be able to see how many of each category so we know what to reorder. There's no reason it couldn't be listed on the exported sheet!

    Do you all seriously consider anyone's requests? It's been two years since the first and all want it. Is you answer always "go get another app and pay another vendor"?

    The fact that the ability to pull a single list with all items, each with their category listed in a sortable column, as well as the on-hand inventory, is utterly deplorable for a system as powerful as this. The data is there, and implementing this into the download would cost NOTHING. Either that, or enable export of items, costs, and on hand quantity WITHIN the Categories tab. One or the other is a MUST HAVE: I should not need advanced Pivot Table and lookup Excel abilities to create a simple list. Please address ASAP.

    I realize there is a "categories" tab, but it would be much better to have the category column showing on the "items" tab so we could filter that down by category and see all of the other important information (price, cost, inventory, sku). Please implement!

    I completely agree with all of the comments below. It is horrible to try to complete a physical inventory (as REQUIRED) without having this. I would add that it should also be available by Label, as we are forced to use that as the manufacturer for our product lines.

    Clover development team, please help include "category" in items export

    Why would the "category" attribute not be part of the items export spreadsheet?

    I agree. Definitely need to be able to export by Category that includes pricing. Would make refilling inventory orders and completing an inventory count a lot easier.

    Yes I am having the same issue. All it would take is to add a column to the ITEM tab that shows the category of the item. Then i could create a filter to only see the items in that category.

    Yes I know there is a tab for CATEGORY, but that is useless. ADD IT TO THE ITEMS!!!!
