Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Reporting Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover reporting software to help merchants run their business more effectively. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in reporting functions. We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Reporting Functionality: Ideas here should explicitly focus on the practicality and usefulness of Clover’s reporting feature. Is it easy to customize filters? Is the frequency at which reports generated sufficient?

2. Reporting Tips, Taxes, and Service Charges: This category should distinctively include all feedback regarding Clover reports producing intelligence on tips, taxes, and service charges.

3. Employee Reporting: This category should distinctively include all feedback regarding Clover reports producing intelligence on employees.

  1. Right now it appears there isn't a way to automatically review sales data for a specific item for longer than 3 months. So if I want to reorder a seasonal item from a year ago, I have NO idea how much I sold last year. I have had to request a report and then sit and wait to receive it, and then sometimes I can't even find the right data.   3. Why does clover take so much time to provide me a sales report? I have to use a third party application to do that. That is unacceptable.

  5. Ability to generate a Report that shows sales transactions daily and/or weekly (time/date frame adjustable) by Revenue Class AND by Tender Type (cash, check, cc, etc.). Ideally, the report would show an itemized list of transactions for each Revenue Class, by Tender Type. Or, ability to make a Custom Report and select parameters and filters.

  6. Item's cost is averaged because upon the keyed cost for each new in take. Provides a more accurate report of Net Margin & Net Profit.

  7. Merchant requesting for request in reporting:
    She wants to be able to see the total of items in the inventory after inputted.

  8. Need to keep Items that have been deleted from inventory on past Items Sales Reports. You MUST STOP deleting past sales details describing the item that was sold just because we told clover inventory that we are no longer carrying that item(deleted it). Just populating "Sale" as item detail is a big red flag for liquor store. We need to still be able to see item details that were sold in the past even if we deleted the item from our inventory.

  9. Merchants should have the option to take a return or exchange and be given the option to damage out the item and then be able to run a report showing all damaged out items, OR be given the option to simply return an item to inventory.

  10. Reporting Revenue Item Sales has no ability to print reports from the clover online dashboard. Additionally, an apparent recent update to the website took away the ability to print the entire report via the right click function in Microsoft.

  11. Clover already collects the hourly sales data and displays it in dashboard, but only for today. We'd like to see trends in sales by hour of the day. But reporting doesn't allow this feature.

    Would like this report to include filter by revenue class. This way our manual payments for maintenance clients or large projects can be separated from the true retail revenue in the brick-and-mortar store.

  12. Merchant is looking to be able to pull a report with all sales in the morning shift and another report for the night report without having to everyday to change the time range or custom date range just to pull a morning and night shift with total sales .

  13. What is the purpose of an INVENTORY application, if it cannot generate a report that includes all of these on one sheet? The fact that this is not already possible, begs the question "why have categories at all?" What is their use if not for inventory reports? I would very much appreciate a reply as I am seeking not only improvements in your products, but also the logic behind such seemingly odd omissions from the software capabilities.

  15. Add a column to Transaction Reporting page showing the last four of the card number. You would be able to avoid clicking "Detail" to identify a transaction. This is really helpful when trying to compare batches to deposit totals on the processors end.

  20. Need to know how to get a report of my inventory that includes the categories of the items which could be sorted by category to give total value of inventory by category.

    Currently there is an option to export inventory and it contains lots of useful information, but the column for 'Category' is non-existent in the export.

    Business owners / Managers need the ability to track inventory value by category (For example, Beer/Wine, Liquor, General Merchandise, Tobacco, etc.) for tax purposes and other reasons.
