Scheduled discounts for online orders
We would like to have the ability to automatically adjust prices for specials (items sold at a reduced price during specific days or times).
This functionality is easily handled on the registers with use of the ***** app. However, this app does not affect item pricing on online menus.
For example, if an item is sold at 30% off on Thursdays, this could be accomplished in one of two ways:
(1) Apply a scheduled discount, similar to the one created by the ***** app.
(2) Allow daily availability to be assigned to individual items. In this case, we could create two versions of the same item: one priced 30% off and available only on Thursdays, and another at the regular price and available on all other days.
Either option would work. The second approach would also provide the added benefit of allowing certain items to appear on the menu only on specific days, for example, offering a different soup each day of the week.
Ideally, we would like this type of day-and-time scheduling to be available for both the registers and online ordering.
