Welcome to the Clover Retail Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Retail merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Retail space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Retail Categories.



Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Order: Ideas relating to the process of creating and managing Orders.

2. Items & Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

3. Website: Ideas related to your Clover branded website.

4. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

5. Customer Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

6. Reporting & Analytics: Share your ideas to improve or enhance Clover's reporting functionality.

  1. When the accounting sync is turned on, QBO receives a daily journal entry with sales, sales tax, tips/gratuity and the offset is cash/credit card payments. Clover needs to add a line item for Merchant Fees. The total bank deposit does not tie to the accounting sync because the merchant fees are not included. The bank deposit for the day is total credit card payments received less merchant fees. It would be great to see the merchant fees synced with QBO.

  2. As a service business owner in Canada, I'd love to see a plug in swipe reader brought north of the border - right now our only option is Square. Would love to see this in Clover

  3. have a way to enter special or hloiday hours on specific days so we do not have to change the regular schedule for the week and come back and change the hours again. this would be very helpful as my online partners rely on the info from clover for their hours

  4. Some merchants offer the ability to have Door Dash deliver their retail goods and/or they have a small deli integrated into their establishment that will use doordash - however, the Retail Growth plan, while it does offer Online Ordering, does not allow integration with services such as Door Dash.

  5. We should be able to set the same customer facing business name (the one that appears on receipts) for all of our facilities and differentiate the internal account name (what we look at when selecting which of our accounts we want to update). When you go to Zara, it says Zara on the receipt no matter which location you go to. There are no other details regarding location, etc.

  6. The information should display the banking information actually being used.

    I had merchants being billed to an old bank account that is different from what is displayed. This was not a sync issue since it had been going on for months.

  8. The Clover Duo version 2 is incompatible with usage at grocery stores with belted checkout lanes.

    If you picture the set up, as the cashier you have the workstation in front of you, and the customer facing device to your left. With a 1.5M cable, you cannot get to from where the register stand is to where the customer facing payment device on any belted checkout lane.

    With the Duo version 1 I found a work around, but the way the cabling is set up for the version 2, you cant jockey the cables around to make it work.

  9. We have business for customers we want to retrieve. Right now we can only get FirstName LastName which isn't useful for businesses.

  10. Hello

    We have 15 locations in multiple states .We want to accessto our clover remotely from our head office.we want to add remotely go to our clover device if we have any problem in clover to expalin our employee.

  11. I have the external scanner hooked up to my clover mini. I need the ability to shut off the onboard scanner. It is an awkard customer experience to have the little scanner window pop up when there is an external scanner.

  12. When you log into the customer-facing Clover app, old merchant profiles still appear. This is bonkers. Why isn't there a toggle on or off for appearance on the app? Don't you want customers to have access to fresh and current profiles? Why would you keep the old ones active? In my five mile radius, 3 of the 10 profiles that appear are inactive profiles. Also, as a merchant, I should have the option of appearing or NOT appearing on the customer-facing app.

  13. You used to be able to set it up to do this. I guess new version does not have this feature. Need to add this feature as We sometimes open to cash drawer to make change ever five to ten minutes.

  14. I have a client with over 240 locations, and they need to add a Manager with access to each instance of the Dashboard. I was told by numerous resources that the only way to achieve this is for the client to add the Manager, one by one, to each individual MID. There needs to be a way to perform this function at a high level and have it cascade down to each MID in the hierarchy so the client only has to do it one time. If we are trying to sell Clover up-market, we need more efficient management functionality…
