Welcome to the Clover Retail Forum. You're here because you are a Clover Retail merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Retail space.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

  1. The import sheet should not have a separate tab for "category". There should be a category column on the "items" tab so you can easily track which category the item is going to. We have over 50 categories and trying to make sure that each item is where it belongs is near impossible.

  2. There needs to be an option for Layaway & House Accounts on Clover avoiding 3rd party apps. The 3rd party apps that clover has at the moment are not reliable. Many retail stores ask for this feature.

  3. Multiple item pictures. Clover Retail Growth Plan online shopping needs to have the ability to add multiple pictures to each item. Customers purchasing online need to be able to see all sides of the product as well as close-up pictures of product labels. Having the ability to only add one picture per item will hurt online sales.

  4. Team, The new dashboard version removed adding inventory with decimal places. I buy and sell an item that is by weight and not in exact whole numbers. Please allow adding and removing inventory with decimal places.

  5. Please add the ability to associate a cost to a item modifier as that additional item has both a price and a cost from an accounting stand point. If I am adding an item (modifier) to the sale of an item, that cost needs to go up for things to be accurate and help track and improve margin numbers year to year.

  6. The User Interface for the inventory app keeps getting worse and worse. New features are fine, in theory, but when they take preeminence over more useful data fields the process to add items becomes more and more difficult.
    Specifically, the newer data fields "Online Name" "Online Description" and "This is an age restricted item" have been place above the essential fields like stock, price, and cost. If they insist on adding more useless data fields to every item, at least they could add them at the bottom of the screen. Or, better yet, make those fields toggleable from the settings.…

  7. we are a retail store with 2 locations that sell the same items, and we used to be able to easily update our inventory information for both locations at the same time from one screen, but that option seems to have gone away, and now it takes way too long and is a royal pain in the butt to make changes. And uploading the changes on a spreadsheet just doubles the items instead of overwriting the existing information, so we have to go in and delete the old items.   8. We need the following option in order to create an automatic discount on certain items bought together.
    1. The ability to bundle items together, to create a new item in the inventory. When this bundle item is bought, all items in the bundle are removed from inventory.

    Real life example: if you buy item A, it is $8. If you buy item B, it is $10. If you want to buy both together, it is $15. It is currently impossible to apply this bundle discount on the Online Menu ordering. Also, it can easily be forgotten by employees in shop,…

  10. The previous versions of viewing items on a mobile device made it easy to see stock quantities. You could also choose how many items per page 25-900. Now when viewing items on a mobile device you can only see 25 items per page and only a portion of the name of each item.
    Please change the view back so it is possible to see inventory quantities while scrolling through item names. The only way to see quantities is to select each item and scroll to the bottom. Its very difficult and time consuming to do an order. With over 1000…

  11. I have not heard of this in circulation and would be a unique feature that most point of sales do not offer. Here is the functionality.

    When a a customer calls, the system identifies the phone number and matches it to an existing customer profile in the Clover Point of sale. If a match is found the profile is displayed on the clover device, allowing staff to view or edit details, or create new sale or order. If no profile exists, it prompts the creation of a new one using the caller's information/or just phone number.

  12. I would like to access the open orders report on a monthly, or with a custom built date range in the dashboard, right now its only available in the device and as a owner of business its not possible to have a physical presence before the device to run a report.

  13. No Cash Option for EBT
    We would like a way to make it so the merchant can shut off the "cash" option for EBT/SNAP benefits when checking out a customer.

  16. Clover needs to have the ability to set up Inventory Price Scheduling.
    Many Hospitality/Retail locations will charge different item prices depending on time of day.

    Inventory should have a base Price and then Price level 1, level 2, level 3. etc.
    "Events" or Schedules can be set to use a specific Price level changing all item pricing to that level during that time period.

    Many merchants do not like having Happy Hour displayed as discounts as that adds to confusion on the ordering and customer receipt side, they want the item price changed for that event/time period only. Many Hospitality…

  17. We sell fuel by the gallon which is usually measured to the tenth of a gallon, IE 10.2 gallons. The Clover only allows us to pick a whole number which doesn't allow us to charge the customer the proper amount without doing a custom item for just the sale price. This doesn't allow the customer to see what fuel quantity they purchased on their receipt. This would also help companies that sell items by weight.

  18. It is my understanding that you can only add a picture/icon to an item/listing if you are selling online. PLEASE add this feature if you only sell in person/brick&mortar. It helps our associates know which item to choose to process at checkout by combining a visual representation as well as a description. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ADD THIS!

  20. As many companies use external options for a marketing suite then Clover apps, I believe having an export of the rewards data is very valuable. Since there is no direct correlation between Rewards Users and Customers inside of your clover account, there is no dedicated API endpoint, or means of export to get rewards users, but there is for Customers. I would like to see either the relationship between Rewards Users & Customers, or a way to export Rewards Users data, as this is an easier way to keep your marketing avenues up to date and in sync with your…
