PLEASE , I beg of you to make COST a bulk edit item, not just Price, When entering a long list from a Purchase order it is ridiculously tedious and time consuming to add each item, variants, then price and have to tap back in to every item to add cost. You HAVE to have Cost associated with Price in order to Map a COGS report . I am so frustrated with this.

  2. Merchant would like to be able to see an audit trail of when an item was added to inventory, any changes made to that item (quantities, price, etc.), when items were sold and, most importantly, when an item was deleted from inventory. It would be fine if this functionality was a requested report. Merchant has multiple users with access to inventory and if one user accidentally deletes inventory there is no audit trail to see when that was done and by whom. We thought Clover might have a back end audit trail for deleted inventory items and we were told…

  3. It would be great we could add vendor management to inventory so it's easy to see what we need to products need to be ordered in one place without having to go through the whole inventory list.

  5. The current inventory system shows the stock count for each item but doesn't display the total number of items sold or remaining in stock. It would be helpful to add a summary that shows both the total quantity in stock and the total number of items sold for better tracking.
    Also, it would be very helpful if new items imported into the inventory were automatically set to 'automatically manage availability' rather than 'manually manage availability.' Currently, we have to change this setting for each item, which is time-consuming and prone to errors. Setting all items as automatic will help us…

  6. Inventory Reporting is pretty non-existent. I would love to have a report in Clover that shows the current value of your inventory. I have to export it to excel each day and then manually multiply my Quantity on Hand by my Cost and then sum the results. Also when it exports to excel, there is no category so you can't get any reports by category. This is important to most retailers.

  7. Can you make the inventory functional for retailers. Inventory in when we receive product and out when we sell it, This for the most part works right now. However taking a store inventory is important to us. Being able to scan and verify products in the store. Also having a report available for items we didn't scan so we can check if we have the product and just missed it or it was stolen.

  9. Are you able to add the date an item was entered (or last updated date) and the last time it was purchased? This is important because it will help monitor items that sale and items that don't sale. If the item doesn't sale then this could help identify what items should go on sale or be discounted. This could also shape the direction of the store and keep movement within the store. This can also help with all the trends that change on social media. This can also help see items that are doing well in the store.

  10. There needs to be a way to sort inventory other then just by "item name" or "in stock". We have multiple items with no category assigned and trying to find them is near impossible and VERY time consuming.

  11. Why does clover insist on making changes no one wants or asked for. Now if one is clover dashboard it will log you out every 15 minutes. That's just ridiculous! Last week it was logging me out ever other MINUTE! I had to recheck two entire orders I had keyed in because it logged me out as I was entering product in. It didn't take the additional inventory numbers or a price change I hade keyed in before it logged me out when I hit enter. Just another waste of my time Clover has thrown in my way, adding to…

  12. Modifiers pricing should have the options to be fixed or variable by percentage. All our catalog is customizable and the prices must vary depending on the quantity and the price of each variable. If a customer orders more (eg. business cards) the modifiers should increase the value by a percentage. Modifiers been fixed, at certain quantity break, make the cost of the items very low or very high. Creating a the same fixed modifier for every quantity would be a gigantic task.

  13. UNDER ITEM, ON BULK EDIT AND EDIT YOU CANNOT CHANGE COST, YOU HAVE TO GO IN THE ACTUAL ITEM TO CHANGE COST. THIS IS TIME CONSUMING. I WOULD LIKE TO BE ABLE TO CHANGE CATAGORY AND MODIFIYER ON EDIT AS WELL INSTEAD OF GOING TO BULK EDIT.

  14. we are a retail store with 2 locations that sell the same items, and we used to be able to easily update our inventory information for both locations at the same time from one screen, but that option seems to have gone away, and now it takes way too long and is a royal pain in the butt to make changes. And uploading the changes on a spreadsheet just doubles the items instead of overwriting the existing information, so we have to go in and delete the old items.   15. When selecting a Revenue Class while creating or editing an item in Inventory, the dropdown list displays Revenue Classes in the order they were created, rather than alphabetically. This becomes cumbersome for merchants with a large number of Revenue Classes, requiring excessive scrolling to locate the correct one.

    Please consider adding:

    • The ability to sort Revenue Classes alphabetically in the dropdown or
    • A search bar within the dropdown to quickly locate the desired Revenue Class

    This small change would significantly improve efficiency when managing inventory.

    Thank you for your suggestion. At this time we are not planning to offer customization of the screen timeout.


    When signing into the device we allow the system to idle for ~1:05 until requiring the user to again sign-in. Entering the passcode again doesn't seem to be particularly burdensome and does provide a level of security to the system.

  18. A few things to make the dashboard easier to work with:

    1. Although columns in items is customizable, it doesn't save for next login or even if you navigate away from it and return in the same session.
    2. Infinite scroll on items instead of "show more" would be helpful.
    3. I often need to download items to a csv file, but I am only able to download the entire inventory. Being able to export items at the category level would be great.

  19. The User Interface for the inventory app keeps getting worse and worse. New features are fine, in theory, but when they take preeminence over more useful data fields the process to add items becomes more and more difficult.
    Specifically, the newer data fields "Online Name" "Online Description" and "This is an age restricted item" have been place above the essential fields like stock, price, and cost. If they insist on adding more useless data fields to every item, at least they could add them at the bottom of the screen. Or, better yet, make those fields toggleable from the settings.…

  20. Offer a retail inventory build service for a fee, or develop an AI inventory builder than can be utilized for existing retail merchants that have inventory built in other POS systems (export) or excel/CSV/intuit
