Custom Inventory Fields
As a retail wine & spirits shop owner, I want to have searchable data fields on inventory items so that I can find similar products for customers.
I'll know this is done when:
- I can add custom fields to inventory items
- Fields available are drop down, text, numeric, date/time, radio button
- I can search these fields
Scenario: customer asks for a wine with monestrell grape - I add custom field "grape" to inventory and can search "monestrell" to find all our wines in stock with monestrell.
Custom fields feels like something that should be standard for the "#1 POS Provider".
Note: I understand there are custom fields at checkout to capture customer data, but this doesn't fit the need of more data points in inventory.
MVP: I would also be very happy if the "item description" field were searchable as a temporary workaround.
