Clover.com -> Sales Activity -> Orders -> Order History
This updated version of the website is not good at all. The order history used to have the vast majority of the orders laid out on the page (with the exception of orders with a lot of items) and in those cases you would need to click to see the full order.
A few days ago, Clover decided to change the layout and method of this and it is truly a terrible decision that could not have possibly been thought through properly.
Let's say someone is returning an item and does not have a receipt. The POS won't have that information readily available. So all you have is the item in question that the customer is physically returning.
Before, it was much easier to find it and then find the receipt in question.
Report -> Item Sales -> Look for the item in question and date of transaction
Then back to Sales Activity -> Orders and copy/paste the item being returned and 95% you can find it unless its in a long receipt that would require a click to go to the receipt(s) in question.
Now, one would need to search receipt by receipt to find the transaction in question and to see a receipt requires scrolling plus 2 clicks to see the receipt and 2 clicks to back to the order list.
The changes over the past few years from Clover have made it more difficult to work and require more time than ever before. Things like this should be simple, on one page, easily sortable and searchable to ensure that a return does not take time to do.
It just seems that feedback which is mostly to help make the website better is just not heeded or ignored altogether.
Every user pays for this service. These changes continue to baffle me personally and make me think more and more about switching POS providers altogether.
For some of the good things that Clover has, it is mired in adding complexity and additional time for staff to do tasks that used to be so much simpler. Don't even get me started on entering an item into the system where in the past it was one page, no scrolling and everything was right there. Now, the item entry page is as long as a CVS or Walgreens receipt.
Please if you are making changes on anything in Clover and the old version takes less time to do a task than the new updated version, then perhaps it's something you should avoid fixing.
