Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Customer Engagement Features. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover software to improve customer experiences, increase traffic, and retain loyalty for merchants. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas about built-in functions on the Clover Dashboard (feedback on customer engagement apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.

  1. Merchant is using the payments service plan and is able to download and use the customer app, create, edit and save customer profiles. But when he processes transactions through VT and assigns a customer to the invoice, the email doesn't automatically populate.

  2. Since the Station DUO (previously called the PRO) came out i haven't had a more frequently requested suggestion from my retail merchants. Typically if a customer has a phone number or email on file in the customers app the merchant has the ability to select email receipt or text receipt (on file) after the sale. This option is still here w/ the station duo however on the customer facing display the options for email receipt/text receipt will not autofill w/ the customers info on file. Rather if they desire to receive their receipt via text/email they have to manually enter…

  4. The merchant is using Ecwid and Clover and creating customer profiles on both ( which is creating duplicate customers). The merchant would like the option to combine or sync customers from ecwid and clover

  6. Customer purchase history needs to be able to be transferred from one Clover sales channel to another. At this time there is no 3rd party app to assist with purchase history - only customer name. This is important for repeat business and for the merchant to engage on going with their customers.

  7. Whenever I pull the customer list from dashboard, the names come out randomly - I would need to have the ability to sort them by date to pull the latest visit instead of having to scroll each - worst, I have to type the name over and over in search field and it is non-productive.

  9. Merchant would like Register app to pop up with Customer Name when they put their phone number in Clover Duo customer terminal so they know if that customer is currently in their network or customers app.

  11. We need to be able to block or ban a customer. I had an employee sign up, save customer printed receipts and then collect all of the points and redeem the points on cash paying tables and pocket the discounted amount that was paid.

  12. It's too time consuming to "add customer" when you quickly need to take a payment......The suggestion is to show the card holders name in the transaction history so when we need to confirm that a payment was made we can see the clients name, regardless if we did not "add customer"

  13. I think some good features to have on Clover would be the following: being able to merge customers profiles as well as putting in customer info after time of sale if it was not put in at time of sale.

    For example. We have returning customers who sometimes pay with credit cards Jane C. Smith and Jane Smith or they pay with a card with another name on it. Therefore, because they pay with 2 different cards or more they could then have 2 possible accounts in our profile. I would like to merge their transaction history for us to…

  14. Can we add a customizable customer number with new and/or existing customers.

    1. Different software programs (payroll, AP/AR for example) have identifiable numbers associated with each employee and (or) customer.

    2. Having this show up in the reports under its own column, to identify the customer by name and number so we can easily identify across different software programs. This feature would minimize manual entries and spreadsheets.

    3. On receipts, it would be helpful to view the customer # with other customer information (when the option is selected in receipt view)

  15. The idea I had for this came up when I was updating inventory templates for different merchants/Vendors. Instead of having to manually update new customers, there could be a customer template in the same fashion that inventory exports are. This would allow management to upload multiple customers at once without the need for a transaction. I think this would be especially useful for companies that deal with large volumes of customers like school districts and other agencies.

  17. Can you please add the ability when exporting customer contact list from the dashboard to see the # of transactions a customer has done. Since merchants are not able to export any information from a customer once within that customer profile, merchants are requesting on the excel sheet a column that provides the number of transactions that customer has done. We have some merchants that want to start their own loyalty program but not enough information provided when exporting the info to excel.

  19. there needs to be a way to turn off the automatic retrieval of customer names from credit cards. All it does is add useless information to the customer list and make using that feature impossible.

  20. Admin / account holders should have the option to disable saving any customer information. Regardless if the payment is made Virtual Terminal, or via contactless payment. Not having / not saving any of this data could / would be preferable form a PCI compliance and security standpoint.
