Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Customer Engagement Features. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover software to improve customer experiences, increase traffic, and retain loyalty for merchants. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas about built-in functions on the Clover Dashboard (feedback on customer engagement apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.

  1. Merchant would like to add locker numbers to customers' profiles for tracking purposes and be able to merge customers together to stop duplicate profiles when different cards are used for payment

  2. This is exactly what Square does, and it works wonderfully and seamlessly. When a customer pays at a Square terminal with a credit card and inputs their email address for a receipt, the card number and email are automatically associated and saved across the network. From then on, any Square terminal will automatically email a receipt to the same address when that card number is processed.

    Presumably some customers will not want this option, even if the address isn’t used for marketing purposes, so there should be a way to opt out.

  3. The merchant stated on the dashboard the customers are in alphabetical order. However, on the device they are not. Confirmed with our test device here that on the device the customers are not alphabetized. As a workaround, advised the customer to search for the customer she wanted. However, she stated she would like for it to be the same as the dashboard.

  4. Merchant would like the Clover Device to save Customers's email address so that they do not have to type in the email each time for receipts, especially if it is a returning customer.

  5. Allowing the data fields in the customer app to accept input from a bar code scanner would help employees easily find a client if they have a customer card assigned to them.

  9. Need to be able to enter customer information on a Clover Go order. Since it already creates a customer it should be able to put in their information.

  10. Please, please, please add the features below asap...
    -Allow merchants to merge duplicate customer profiles
    -Allow merchants to export all of the sales data for individual customers (needed for frequent buyer programs etc.)
    -Provide different options for sorting customer names
    -The customer search function needs to retrieve any part of the customer's name. For example if the customer has two last names the search function only works if you search for the first one

  12. Would like to be able to record a discount percentage on a customer profile and have it automatically applied to any order referencing that customer profile record

  13. As a customer it is annoying to have to enter my email address with every transaction. Square is able to retain a customer's email address (presumably tied to credit card).

  14. A boutique wishes to send promo's based on the anniversary date of a customer. Currently, the only date field is birthdate.

  15. Allow the option to pop-up comments so when ordering they will show on screen. For example, if you entered a comment/note that customer is to get a 10% discount when ordering, it would pop up and you would have to dismiss it to erase the pop up.

  17. merchant is using a clover flex and he creates orders through customers app when he open the order app he can see only the name for the customer and he would like to see the last name instead

  18. Non-profit needs the ability to export each transaction by customer at the end of the year. If you add this feature, it will greatly expand Clover into non-profits.

  19. I suggest you add a 'Repeat Order' button that allows us to recreate a previous order, this would work great for frequent customers.
