Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

  1. We have 2 revenue classes for our grooming salon. 1 is service and the other is retail, because we sell dog food, supplies, etc. For some reason, everything is automatically rung out as "retail" even though our service items were created with the "service" revenue class assigned. Why don't items automatically ring up as their assigned class? This seems to defeat the purpose of having it.

  2. Please add "brand" column or feature. Right now our retail business uses "printer label" as brand because we do not need to print orders to a kitchen and we need something to account for the many brands that we sell. For whatever reason, when adding a new product, the "pinter label" options are not alphabetical. This is very annoying because we have almost 100 brands that we have to scroll through to find the right one.

  3. Parent Items with Variants should show as single items (and not list all variants).

    Parent Items with Variants should be allowed to be assigned to sales categories and reordered like other items within that category. Presently parent items with variants only show in 'all items'.

    Order UI / Flow - When a parent item with variants is touched, the options within each variant should show (just like multiple modifier groups would), allowing the clerk to choose a single option within each variant group that results in adding the correct sales item to the order (receipt pane).

  4. The inventory we have for sale are sometimes used for jobs as well, I need to be able to deduct inventory at cost so that profit will not be reported.
    Either I need an item specific discount or a modifier that can be negative.

    Also, what's up with no low quantity alert and no inventory report? We need low quantity alert to see when we need to order new inventory. And we need inventory reports to evaluate how each item in the inventory is selling.

  6. Clover needs to allow business owners to reorder their menu item modifiers in a way that meets the needs of their staff and business. I thought Clover was going to be able to meet & exceed the previous systems I have used but unfortunately I am finding that this is not the case. Clover needs to up their game!

  8. Hello,

    we need a feature that setups up mix and match options for scanned items.
    The system will automatically determine how many groups of items there are and will apply the correct deal.
    For example if you have two redbull for 5.50 and 3 redbull for 6.50 then if there are 5 red bull in the cart then the system will apply 3 redbull deal and 2 red bull deal for the red bull. And as the quantity of items increases, then the system will optimise for best deals.

  9. This option will allow multiple units of the same modifier option to be selected when ordering. Uber Eats already has this option.
    E.g. our family pack comes with 8 drinks and 3 appetizers. at the moment the customer can choose the options they want but not the quantity. for example the can choose Diet Coke and Fanta which will result in us sending them 4 of each, If the want 2 Diet Cokes and 6 Fanta, they will have to write a note which is inconvenient.

  10. Please move the modifiers/special instructions to the left side so that they print right underneath the menu item. It is hard for kitchen staff to see the modifiers when the tickets get stacked

  12. When adding modifiers it would be nice if all the same group modifiers would group together. Example would be half and half pizza. When selecting modifiers if you select right modifiers then left modifiers and a customer adds on another right modifier it goes under the left modifiers instead of up with the other right modifiers. When sending this to the printer it is harder for the pizza cook to keep track of what goes on which side.

  13. Pre planned order of operations of modifiers on order receipts regardless of when it is selected when ordering.

    Example: Bagel shop with many modifiers, customer asks for bagel to be toasted, but it shows up last on order receipt and cook misses it.

  14. Inventory only allowing 25 items to remove, what if merchant have 15000 items and they want to remove all items at once, it willt take hours to remove 15000 items. Old inventory had the option. Please bring the feature back

  15. In the clover dining or register the ability to repeat an already printed item would be great. Yes you can do this if the employee has access to "Edit Printed Items" But the ability to repeat would be helpful while preventing them from being able to delete items. Basically separate delete and repeat functionality.

  16. Allow for us to add duplicate inventory item names in the Clover inventory template. You guys have the clover ID which already gives each item a unique inventory identifier, and a duplicate name would help tremendously in transferring from either another PoS over, or even just transferring from Clover to Clover.

  18. Merchant wants the ability to update the price of an item directly in the register app. For example, the merchant scans an item and notices the price has changed, he want the ability to update that price while ringing the customer up and wants it to update the item in inventory as well instead of having to pull up the inventory item manually then adjust the price.

  19. Prompt Cashier for "A Name for the Order" while keeping order numbers.
    I like having order numbers to make sure the staff cook and make drinks in the order in which they were placed. But I also would like to have an option to require a prompt for "A name for the Order" without having to manually add an order note. Currently you can set the order number either to be automatic rolling numbers OR "manual" (where it prompts you to add a name or number) but there is no way to to select both.

  20. I own 2 coffee shops, and it would be awesome if you could have a + or - on syrup flavors to increase the amount of syrup pumps or decrease without having to type in a custom modifier. Also, it would be really helpful if you would be able to set standard pumps of syrup or recipes for each individual drink so you can use the + or - feature.
