Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more.   1. When items are sold, inventory is automatically relieved from inventory. However, when items are returned for refund, the refund item feature does not automatically add the item back to inventory. The item has to be manually added back to inventory.

    Summation...clover currently auto-deducts items from inventory when sold. Clover should auto-add items to inventory when returned for credit.

  2. When importing an inventory spreadsheet, provide the choice of adding the quantity to existing count or over-write. Right now, it over-writes existing qty in stock, so if I have 2 left and order 6 more, the imported report will change my qty to 6 rather than 8. I don't know why anyone would over-write, but there may be a reason so please offer the choice.

  3. Allow for item cost to be set as a percentage of sale price. ideally on both an item specific level as well as a general level or based on category or label. I buy and sell
    hundreds of trading cards of which there are hundreds of thousands and trying to make a new item on the fly for a card that I may never sell again just so my profit margin sheet is accurate is impossible. I currently use the variable price marker but have the cost set to 0 because the price range for these cards varies wildly and…

  5. Server Check Out. My client needs an industry standard check out report that is in the server daily sales report, but they need it in the Clover Station POS. Their servers check out up front and they need the Station to total up sales, # of covers/people served, and other information from that report. They need it on the POS to print it out.   6. The alternate name category is being requested to show in the Inventory app, even when it is not enable for Order Receipts. The merchant would like to be able to view Inventory from the Web Dashboard, with the same alternate names visible.

  7. There are too many steps in adding inventory on the Clover Dashboard. Users should be able to add modifers, printer labels etc all when you first enter the item in the Category. Instead you have to save the item and then go back into each one. Being able to Quick Edit any column that you filter in (ex modifiers) would be so much faster.

    1. You should be able to select all items within a category for printer labels
    2. Option to delete items when you're under the category section, not just remove them from the category

  8. Please add a way to isolate order types to specific devices. For example, the restaurant has a drive through and would like to designate that device to auto-print DRIVE-THRU on the order receipts, instead of having the employee select the option on the Register. This feature will be applicable for settings with a Bar.

    The issue is that employees are forgetting to select the order type in the Register and it is causing issues with the preparation. This is a feature available on the SAM4S POS and should be available on an advance POS like Clover.

  10. Pretty Please set back the update to the last version so that our waitstaff can add/remove items for the online ordering inventory on the POS when they become out of stock. I am not always available nor always with my computer and now the only way to make those inventory updates is through clover.com on my computer verses before when all they had to do was check or uncheck a box on the POS.

  12. As manufactures change and stock evolves, an item which is otherwise the same may have 4 or 5 UPCs over its lifetime. Increase the number per item from 3 to 5 comma separated UPCs in the product code field.

  14. I have a wholesale retail business. I need to sell large quantities of my inventory and at the moment i find myself entering several orders to be able to charge for a quantity of 300, for example. Just recently I had an order of 1000 plants and I was limited to entering 99.

  15. Would like to be able to ran a report with all our inventory items that we sell so we know how many we sold and when we are running low on them to be able to reorder before we ran out. Also would like to do a report to see what the cost is in every part we sell. When we initial put in all the inventory we took it out of an old system and didn't put the cost in everything we it was put into clover and no in order to know what parts we didn't put in…

  16. Add the ability to track stock quantity by individual modifiers under a modifier group. Currently you are only able to track the total quantity of an item. This is not helpful when you use modifiers for sizes of shirts or colors of hats. For example, if I sell a short sleeve shirt and we have 20 total shirts it would be helpful to know that I sold a Medium and my count of Mediums is 1 remaining because the sale. The current functionality just says I now have 19 shirts remaining. This would allow a more efficient process to understand…

  20. IN order to control Beverages we need to be able to force a beverage for every person based on the total number of people per check. This will allow you to have water as a beverage and an owner can keep track of his beverage count with his number of guest and can see how many customers order water verses another beverage.
