Management Functions

Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

  1. There are some merchants who would like to have barcode printed in order receipt as well without having to print bill receipt as it is longer than order receipt and it's convenient for the merchants. Is it possible to print barcode on order receipt as well?

  2. Need options to change the the font style in the order receipts. The small size very small and the medium size is take more space in the printer paper. And need options to remove the lines coming in between each items which takes more space. Reduce the paper waste.

  4. Recent update that has been done is not allowing to see the customer name that was entered in the Virtual Terminal on the Receipt. The receipt used to show the customer first and last name from when we entered it into the Virtual Terminal. Please add back in.

  5. On the receipt it doesn't show merchant copy or customer copy neither it shows Approved or not approved. It would be great if these points are mentioned on the receipt, because at times merchant forgets which copy belongs to who.

  7. Online orders also needs to be numbered when printed to the Kitchen. Online ordering, content to be printed along with numbering should function exactly as ordered from the device.
    Numbering will help business serve to customer First-In-First-Out!

  10. You should be able to have more than 100 items for an individual item and for all items the receipt should show the per item price on the receipt not just the grand total of the item. Right now if it is 10 items for $6.50 each it just shows total of $65.00, it should say 10 @ $6.50
    on the receipt. if there are returns it creates problems.

  12. Merchant would like the option of the item total amounts being purchased on the order to be displayed on the device and receipt. It would be easy for the to keep track of what total of items the customer is purchasing.

  14. The merchant would like the individual totals to show on the receipt when more than one item is purchased . For example 6 of the same items will just show one grand total instead of how much is one item.

  16. Currently, date/time stamp takes too much space and waste a lot of printer paper on kitchen printer. We should able to customize the font size in more levels. The date/time stamp's font should be smaller than customer name and food items' font.

  17. Please have the option for the select to have the line separators printed on the order receipt. Just like to print customer information on the order receipt settings, i have owners that like the line separators to easily identify the next item on order receipts.

  18. Merchant is requesting the orders receipts to have automatic notes for the kitchen for example if they have to areas like bar and grill and there is an order with a drink and a food, the bar needs to be notified there is an item being processed on the grill and they have to wait so they can prep the drinks in a while. Merchant would also like to have modifiers to have labels.

  19. One suggestion I have that I think would make this system even better would be a way to prioritize the order of items on printed slips! In my kitchen I plan on using two printers one for just pizzas and calzones and one that prints everything else. A master slip if you will. Since pizza works independently it makes sense to give them a slip with just the pizzas and calzones. While the rest of the staff can see everything on their slip and can know when to start on items depending on where the slip is in the pizza…

  20. If the customer buys two coke for a 1.00 it going to be two dollars plus tax. He would like the item cost to appear on the receipt with the total of the items purchased so the customer know how much they are paying per item.
