Add a Tax Inclusive Option
You should have a tax-inclusive item where you can see the price of an item and it automatically subtracts the sales tax in reporting and reports the item revenue.

this needs to done asap when 3 beers should be 3 total each total of 9 and the total comes out to 9.01 this is annoying. cash not a big deal since I just ignore the penny but for cards it has to charge them 9.01 it needs to be 9.00 flat

Definitely this needs to be added as an option.
Items should be able to be set to $5.00 with a "Inclusive Sales Tax".
It would show as $5 on the item selection screen, but post as 4.XX with the tax added to make it $5.
Having the rounding make totals 15.01 or 19.99 is annoying.

we are getting a lot of customers upset by this and with out it we have to hand calculate our taxes owed which the reason we switched to clover was it was all in one does everything, bar customers dont like being shared 6.01 for their beers

I am losing a customer b/c this feature is not available!!!!!!!!
Bar wants cash price for liquor with no tax and tax with a card transaction. Every other POS has this feature accept Clover. -

Did Clover respond to this request? I think this is not a matter of they cannot do it. More of ‘they do not want to include the feature because….”.

Its a simple fix, you have a table in your database that stores tax rules, you can add an option called "tax-inclusive" or "tax-exclusive" to each rate. Once the rates rule is set, you apply that rule to all price fields in inventory. Your reporting should account for this, and hitting remove tax on items should account for this. Too bad, other than that I like Clover. The loyalty could use a little work and being able to have employees close out their own shifts would be great. Actually yeah employees not being able to close out their own shifts is another reason I'm leaving.

This is similar to

and

Other systems have this ability. As poster mentioned, purchasing multiple drinks can force rounding issues where you end up with fractions of a cent rounding up and you get $10.01 rather than 10.

This is really important for bars. As it stands we have to either calculate what the tax should be later, or deal with rounding issues. This also throws reports off as if we calculate the sales tax out later, our gross sales totals will be inflated as they include tax.

Yes, please have this option!!!

Please! Would love to set the price of an item including tax and have Clover take the tax out of that. Would save hassle of rounding errors or work calculating later. Many of your competitors have this.

Disappointed to see this feature request, was hoping it was already implemented but that I couldn't figure it out. Please hurry up and implement this.

This is the same idea. But that one has even more votes.

I'd love to have this option for a portion of my menu!

Yes of course! The other way to do it is to put the item as no-tax, and then clover won't be calculating tax. We would have to manually do it at the end of each month or quarter. Its silly, why not just provide this?

100%. It is so easy for you guys to change the way you calculate tax on an order, instead of taking the price of each order and then multiply by tax rate, you take the order total and divide by (1+ tax rate) and you get the tax amount. Then you can record that amount in our reports. However, when we do it now, the system has rounding errors and makes the total order like in the case @Z mentioned $9.99 instead of $10. Please add this very useful feature.
