Welcome to the Clover Retail Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Retail merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Retail space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Retail Categories.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

  2. Merchants need to be able to see the taxes collected when a customer pays with a gift card.
    As of right now the merchant will see it as a total purchase. They need visibility of what portion of the sale was taxes. Merchants use these reports for book keeping and to assist with tax filing.
    Merchants are looking to have all Gift Card reporting combined with Clover reporting so they can use one report for reconciliation and tax reporting

  3. The new Clover Dashboard that was launched May 6, 2025 has some major issues, please correct these or return to the old dashboard if possible :)

    BIGGEST PROBLEM - when you are in the items list (click to add the column for stock count) - we used to be able to sort by stock count quantity and now we cannot with the new update!   4. Customers click onto our website will see our logo & branding, then to order > click onto "Order Online" that directs to Clover platform which immediately turns into green. There is no customisation for us other than adding our own logo. We should be able to customise our own brand colour on those banners. It should NOT be difficult to fix. Not Clover green. Clover shouldn't be promoting itself at our cost!!!!

  5. It would be great if customer was purchasing 2 or more of the same item, that it would list on receipt as one line item and not separate lines.

  6. Could someone please fix it so that one can enter the information one wants and not from right to left.

    For example:
    $0.00 is what appears in the fields
    If you start typing from the last zero, you have no issue.
    If you type from anywhere else, it is not exactly what you need to display.
    Sometimes to avoid the annoyance I have to copy the number in full and then paste it over to Clover

    Leave the fields blank so that one can enter what they need to without issue.

  7. For the Clover Subscription "Growth Retail" we need the option to include delivery so products can be shipped to the customer's location instead being picked up at the location. Similar to xxxxx eCommerce delivery.

  8. can we have a way to review, manage and export device activation codes from the multiple locations on the multilocaton dashboard? there are lots of businesses that manage their hardware and activations from the corporate office.

  9. After the latest upgrade, while processing a payment, the system asks the customer for their phone number to earn points. If the customer presses Skip (meaning they refuse), the system asks again. The customer must wait 30 seconds to skip it a second time, then wait another 30 seconds before the transaction is finalized and the receipt option appears on the screen.

    Most customers leave before this process is finished, which creates a huge risk of the payment being declined with no way to notify them. We are losing money because of this!

  10. I am the Treausrer of a small nonprofit that supports a small public library in Oregon. Our nonprofit is transitioning from xxxx to Clover. Each Monday, I deposit the cash that we made during the past week by selling books, media and merchandise. From the Clover Reports, I have figured out how to determine the total amount of cash and card purchase made for each category type, but I am not able to determine how much of each category's weekly sales were cash and how much were by credit/debit card.   12. When using the Clover Duo, we would enter the amount tendered and Clover would display how much needed to be returned to customer. Now the amount to be returned is not displayed until the Done button is pushed. I was told this change was part of a recent Clover update. I would like to have it changed back.

  13. Please get rid of "Customer is selecting receipt type...." prompt on CASH transactions. This was a new function on the latest update and it is not necessary...90%+ of customers don't want a receipt on a cash transaction and it adds a step to the transaction process that isn't needed.

  14. Include images for the items on the website—currently, there are none. Adding visuals next to each product will help reassure customers that they are selecting the correct item. This is time consuming if retailers have to add images. Can Clover provide images?

  15. Sorting Inventory by Stock Count or Last Edited filters no longer work. We have been using Clover for five months and these features stopped working a month or so ago. We are a retail store and sorting our Inventory by Stock Count is crucial and one of the main capabilities we looked for in a sales system. Tech Support told me that this feature stopped working due to a software update and he had no information on whether or not the feature would be fixed.   16. We used to be able to see the last items edited under the item list tab. We really need this feature back. This allows us to see the most recent items sold, and it helps keep up with inventory and make sure items are replaced in a timely manner

Some merchants offer the ability to have Door Dash deliver their retail goods and/or they have a small deli integrated into their establishment that will use doordash - however, the Retail Growth plan, while it does offer Online Ordering, does not allow integration with services such as Door Dash.

  20. From the Clover online order platform, when items added to cart and check out them, there are picking up time option which says 'For When?' and 2 scroll down options which are 'ASAP (in 20 mins)' and 'Schedule an order'.

    I want to keep only 'Schedule and order' one. My business don't take same day order so I don't want customer select 'ASAP (in 20 mins)' option so I want to remove this option so people don't select it.

    But when I talk a customer service staff, he said removing the 'ASAP' options is not possible and I just don't…

    Thank you for reaching out and sharing your feedback. We completely understand why you’d prefer to allow only scheduled orders for your business.


    Currently, Clover Online Ordering does not offer a “schedule-only” experience as a built-in feature. The ‘ASAP’ option cannot be removed because it is part of the core checkout flow and is tied to how our platform and integrated partners (like DoorDash, Grubhub, Uber Eats, BentoBox, and other third-party services) handle real-time order availability.



    However, there is a workaround:

    You can adjust your business hours so that same-day ordering(ASAP) is not possible. For example, if you set your hours to start the next day, customers will only see scheduling options.


    Please note that changing business hours will affect all online integrations, so it’s important to review how this impacts your connected platforms.
