Layaway Feature!
Currently, one of our retailer clients is using the orders app (“split amount”, then “pay more later”) as their layaway feature. Amongst a few flaws with this process, one major flaw is that it is not a true layaway feature, and the layaway should last more than 90 days!

HIPAA compliant register
Having a HIPAA compliant register would be beneficial for clients wanting to access the full potential of the Clover systems. A register that meets these standards makes the customer and employee experience much better. As it is now, our staff has to input the same information into 3 points of sale to complete one transaction. I would like to simplify this process by having access to the register component. Please get the software HIPAA compliant for the register so we can move forward.

Customer service
How about instead of hanging up on people calling for quotes and then making them wait for the representatives to finish their new calls, you just have the representative that answered the phone help. The price of your units becomes completely irrelevant when the customer service that is received for asking for a simple quote becomes infuriating. Your system could be free and I wouldn't use it after that experience.

reporting
When printing out shift reports, the employees names should remain in the same order. Instead, the order goes by who clocks in first. At the end of the week when we do payroll it is very time consuming to go through all our shift reports and find certain employees.

Make Immediate Adjustments To The Revised Items Screen On The Website Version of Clover
Just when you think they can't possibly make this worse, the new Items screen on the Clover website is a perfect example of adding more work and time to something that WAS NOT broken.
First, cost needs to be on the main screen. I can't understand why this is not there. You can't sort the items on the screen to how you want to be visually displayed, nor can you adjust the size of each field. The search field MUST include the product code!! The UPC code is in the product code field. Our products, and I will safely say…

Add business hours that close after 12 AM in the Business Information section.
In the Account & Setup > Business Information > Business Hours:
It only allows the business hours to close at 12 AM at the latest. Currently, we are not able to put our business hours to close at 1 AM or later.3 votes -

remember this browser
For the love of dear baby Jesus, would you please let the web UI remember more than one device? I log in from a few different devices (home PC, work PC, tablet, phone), and constantly have to go to my phone to get the 2FA code because it only remembers the last one, not this one. So it defeats the purpose entirely to remember a device.

Make 86ing Online menu items easier.
Why did Clover take away the column for 'Online' in the inventory app on the device? Seems the only way to remove an item is now through the dashboard. This is not easier when a restaurant is busy. We need a way to remove (not just grey out and say "unavailable") a menu item from the online menu. It was there until a couple of months ago.

Online ordering
New updates do not make logical sense for restaurants. When managing items day to day, there generally is not time to log in to the dashboard, then go through all the steps (9 I believe), just to take an item off. Additionally most employees do not have access to the web dashboard. This creates issues with items being ordered that the restaurant is out of. It would be great if industry professionals were more involved before making changes that will untimately lose merchants.

Disputes Lack Info
I just wanted to leave some feedback about disputesd charges. Whenever we get a dispute, we get no information about what they are disputing. Am I just suppose to say OK, here is $200 back for no reason? I very much would like to know the reason for any dispute charge we get. Do you think you were overcharged for something? Did you hit the wrong tip amount? I need more to work with before I can even attempt to resolve whatever issue they have.

CLOSE OUT TIME IN DASHBOARD DOESN'T MATCH THE ACTUAL CLOSE OUT TIME IN FD POS.
I have a client that has auto settlement set at 6:16pm PST in FDPOS. The Closeout screen in the dashboard is showing 5:30pm closeout so when they run a sale after 5:30pm, the totals in the dashboard don't match his deposits. Please sync the closeout time in the dashboard "closeout" screen with the auto settlement time in FDPOS. Or allow merchant to adjust the closeout reporting time manually in the dashboard. If the Closeout screen can't be fixed, you might think about removing the Closeout screen completely since it's causing more confusion to merchants than anything else.

Setting to 'force' entry of CVV when manually entering card number on handset
Currently there is a no default option to 'require' input of the CVV on a manual transaction. This makes fraudulent manual card entry easier. Having a setting that requires the CVV would eliminate instances of fraud where the scammer has the card number and expiration date but not the CVV (this is all they currently require to 'force' a transaction).

Allowing the merchants the ability to cancel recurring payments within 24 hours.
Allowing the merchants the ability to cancel recurring payments within 24 hours. Currently merchants have to cancel recurring payments at least 5 days in advance. Merchants are requesting the ability to cancel recurring payments faster than the 5 days turnaround time. Some merchants are reporting that recurring payments are still charging customers even after they cancel the recurring payments. Engineering advised that merchants must cancel recurring payments at least 5 days in advance.
