This is a federal program. There cannot be such errors. Taxing items paid for with SNAP FOOD BENEFITS is fraud. Charging a fee to process EBT is fraud. This must be addressed.

I just spoke with a merchant who also shared similar concerns about customers purchasing multiple items some to be paid tax free with EBT and others to be paid with regular cash or card in ONE order. He is asking for there to be a way to do split payment remove tax for EBT items only and add tax for items which will be paid by cash or card

App will remove taxes from EBT Items and show list EBT items & EBT sub-total.
App will allows cashier pay that sub-total with EBT card
[ 2 ] App will make sure Clover Register confirms EBT card payment was successful.
If 'NOT paid, app will allow cashier to re-open order to remove some EBT items & 'try EBT card again.
IF EBT payment is 'SUCCESS', App will show remaining 'non-EBT' items & Order balance to pay. Standard Clover Register payment screen to complete order payment.

Many C-store merchants are asking for a better way to process EBT on Clover. Currently there is no way to confirm EBT eligible items and tax can only be removed from the entire order, therefore 2 transactions are necessary. I have asked app developers to come up with a solution and none are interested because they state Clover does not allow integration into payments.
