Declining Partial Payment Approvals
We are a Used Car Dealership. Customers make large payments. Recently they have been saying that only a partial amount has been approved and did we want to take it. We always choose NO. However it turns out that if is made with a debit card, the card is still charged an deposited in our account 8 days later even when our transactions show it was voided out and returned to the customer. We are worried that this will start looking like fraud to the customer since our Clover devices say it was voided even when it wasn't and still deposited. To stop this from happening we would like it if the full amount is not available the Clover system does not allow the partial approval. This will make it so that no money goes missing and we and Clover don't look like con artists ripping off the customer.
