Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

  1. Server Check Out. My client needs an industry standard check out report that is in the server daily sales report, but they need it in the Clover Station POS. Their servers check out up front and they need the Station to total up sales, # of covers/people served, and other information from that report. They need it on the POS to print it out.   2. IN order to control Beverages we need to be able to force a beverage for every person based on the total number of people per check. This will allow you to have water as a beverage and an owner can keep track of his beverage count with his number of guest and can see how many customers order water verses another beverage. If a server sells water but puts a beverage on the table instead. This will cost the business owner a lot of his profit.   3. Servers need the ability to delete items that have not been fired or saved, but then need a manager code to delete an item that HAS been fired or saved. Currently the only way to prevent this type of theft is to restrict the permission for servers for both. So if a server rings in a "stuffed mushroom" and before sending to the kitchen realizes that it was supposed to be "sauteed mushrooms", she must find a manager to remove the stuffed mushrooms.   5. I would like to be able to search under "orders" "Line Items" by the custom modifier we put in. Our Products on the main register screen belong to different people. if the item being sold is rung up under the wrong product ID we need to be able to search by the custom modifier and correct it. We used to be able to do this but cannot anymore.

  6. Currently All inventory counts are allowed to go negative. A true countdown allows you to input the total amount of inventory on hand and not be able to sell more than you have. When you get to 0 the terminal should not allow the item to be sold. Making this an option to turn on or off would be the best.

  8. This is a semiautomation request helping merchants to quickly build the order with several modifiers options.
    Example:
    If modifier one, for example, pizza crust is selected move automatically to modifier two, for example, pizza size, once modifier 2 is selected move automatically to modifier 3 in sequence and so on until all modifiers within the items are selected accordigly.

  11. Option to expand the name tab or any other tab in the inventory app so the full name of an item can show.

    if a item name is too long the system just cut the item name off merchant explain its very important to see the full name since most of the items have the same name except for the last word, we tried to expand the tab that show the name but the tab is default at one size we are unable to expand it.

  12. It would be nice if we could customize colors when adding more items into the system, especially for those fashion, apparel businesses. There are some common are available, but still missing some major colors such as Black, Yellow, and White. I suggest if clover could use a "color wheel" system for their clients, so they can DYI their projects.

  13. I want to remove orders that were paid because when there's an issue on an order and the payment was taken, you cannot remove it, especially when the payment was with cash.

  14. To Whom It May Concern:
    This week we received the hardware for our two Clover POS systems. The reason we chose Clover was in large part because it had an inventory management feature that would allow us to, at the push of a button, identify items that needed to be ordered based on levels we would set.
    However, during the configuration it came to our attention that this feature is not available at this time.

  15. Would like to have “blank” inventory items within a category, so that actual items can be displayed as needed. Otherwise everything is mushed together. I do not wish to add another category. For instance, I have a category with 9 items, but wish them to be displayed on three lines based on what they are, rather than mushed altogether on two lines. Thanks!

  16. As a custom jeweler we would like the ability to separate labor and materials in one inventory item. For example, if we charge the customer $65 to resize a ring the labor is not taxed but materials are. I would like the customer to see something like “Sizing 1 size larger” for $65 plus tax on the receipt, however the tax should only be calculated for $10 in materials, not the whole $65. It would be ideal if when we enter this into the inventory system we could title the item “ring size”, add $55 labor and $10 taxable materials…

  19. I sell packs and individual items out of said pack. i've had to clone the item in inventory because only 1 product code exists. so the idea would be to allow mutual stock decrease or increase.

Hello can we enable for the orders printing to sticky labels to show custom modifier as well as OR an order note for when customers ask us for something random that isn’t an already set modifier in our register . We use this for coffee shop/ boba shop for drinks and need to be able to see custom modifier
