Archive old menu items/ Hiding categories
Archive Feature/ Hiding unused categories!
When working in the clover dashboard, it can become very cluttered with old items, categories and modifier groups. It would be great to have the option to "archive" certain features. Most importantly archiving categories and items.
This would help clean up the back end to make it more user friendly for owners and managers. It would also help increase efficiency in the front end.
For our restaurant, we change the menu twice a year. We keep all the old items and modifiers for data. We also have certain categories that we only use seasonally, or even for special events. We use these seasonal/ limited menu categories and push them to the top depending the time of year/ event.
This leads to a handful of categories being left at the bottom of the page completely unused. I would love to archive these categories (or even just the function to hide them from the main POS) so that way when our service staff is navigating the regular menu, they can quickly swipe to the bottom without having to scroll back up through the useless categories.
