Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

Invoice: Ideas related to Clover’s Invoicing feature.

  1. The menu will only go one level deep. For a full service restaurant with a full bar, they have to have too many tabs because the menu won't go more than one level. They have to have a menu option for each type of liquor in order to list the corresponding cocktails and liquors rather than selecting liquor, then the type, then the ******** ordered.

  2. Why did Clover take away the column for 'Online' in the inventory app on the device? Seems the only way to remove an item is now through the dashboard. This is not easier when a restaurant is busy. We need a way to remove (not just grey out and say "unavailable") a menu item from the online menu. It was there until a couple of months ago.

  3. We want the ability to have the (Clover Dining) Table QR Codes to point to different menus. The use case is that when people are dining in we want to allow them to order pastries like croissants. However, if they order online via direct link to the clover menu, or 3rd party, they should not be able to order pastries. Another example would be alcohol, can't have people ordering that online, because they must be in-person to check ID.

    Perhaps there could be a separate Menu Channel for each table in Clover Dining. Or at least a separate Menu Channel…

  4. We should be able to add menu items to our online menu from the device. We used to be able to do this with the "online" column in the inventory app. Clover has taken the entire column away, making the only way to add an item through the dashboard. This is not convenient.

  6. should be able to increase prices on everything including group modifiers and not just on items,
    also be able to duplicate online menue across locations

  7. Now that we have Dayparting for our menus, we need to have the same ability to work with the pickup services like DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grub hub and all others.

  8. Online Menu on Google Suppose to be on the top of the online ordering list and it suppose to be named with the restaurant name, because our online list start with Grubhub and seamless and doordash then Order Clover so Order Clover has to be the first then it is better to call it with the restaurant name because a lots of customer does not know what Order clover means and they think it is another ordering company instead of knowing that is our direct online ordering especially that it has our original prices comparing to other online ordering companies…

  9. We need to be able to add Breakfast Menu Times to our Cafe hours.  Hope House Cafe.
    We use online ordering and Doordash options, but are not able to enter hours and have this option available for online ordering.

    We are currently having to manually enter and remove them daily for Breakfast Menu ITems.

  10. Currently when increasing pricing for different menus it only increases the items and not the modifiers, please add that all pricing levels updates

  11. The biggest thing that we find lacking with Clover is a Pizza Builder Function. Having Pizza size prefix's choices that show in front of the item name instead of a modifer, listing below. Currently the size is done as a modifier or separate menu item buttons, a prefix choice could make ordering much smoother and order receipts much easier to read. Also, modifier groups that can be priced according to the size or half topping choice, instead of having multiple modifier groups for whole topping, left side/1st half, right side/2nd half.   12. Online Order should have a "Reset Prices to POS” when we edit the menu prices. When editing the prices and increasing the percentage for the menu, you are able to add a percentage but what happens if you want to go from say 30$ (uber/ Doordash) to 15%. it adds up to 45%

I purchased 5 different terminals from Clover including a Clover Kiosk station, flex, duo, and minis only to find out that the pricing for the kiosk items are the same as what's displayed online. We charge different prices for online orders using clover integration with uber, door dash as these third party companies charge a huge cut. I do not understand why a kiosk that is processing orders instore have to be categorized with online orders and not with the pos such as the flex.   14. We would like Owner & Admin users to be able to Delete, Hide or Unpublish POS Menus after they have been Published.

    Not being able to clean up past menus that are no longer in use will lead to staff confusion if they need to manually select a Published menu.

    We have a bar that charges $0.25 more for all drinks on Fridays & Saturdays. We duplicated the Default POS Menu & incremented all prices by $0.25 for their Friday & Saturday Daypart menus.

  15. I want to be able to disable/hide a menu category from the POS devices without fully removing it. If a menu category is unused at the moment, we should be able to hide it without deleting the category to keep the items there and not have to rebuild the menu items if they come back in the future.

  16. Allow restaurants to sort their online menus by Category or Item (including alphabetically) for fast access to turn items on and off depending on availability. Right now, I just see a list of all items available, which makes it difficult to go through the entire list just to turn one or two items off.

  17. Modifier prices and names are the same as the items listed in Items List. Merchant would like the modifiers and items to be completely independent of item list in online menus.

  18. Numerous clients ask for this functionality and it's becoming more and more of an ask. The ask is for menu boards on TVs/monitors to be connected to the Clover, ideally in real-time. Not only for pricing and product updates but also for current availability of items/modifiers as well. All new QSRs use menu boards...it would be great if we could have some sort of integration. TY

  19. Online Delivery Partner integration - need to be able to provide an online menu with delivery pricing and another menu with a lower pick up price for orders placed on DoorDash or Uber Eats. Merchants are charged lower commission for pick up orders and they want to pass through savings to customer. Also, DoorDash provides merchants with online ordering and would need separate menu with even lower prices there.
