Welcome to the Clover Retail Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Retail merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Retail space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Retail Categories.



Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Order: Ideas relating to the process of creating and managing Orders.

2. Items & Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

3. Website: Ideas related to your Clover branded website.

4. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

5. Customer Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

6. Reporting & Analytics: Share your ideas to improve or enhance Clover's reporting functionality.

  1. The Gift Card transactions have recently been added to the "Sales By Card Type" Report. That is not a problem. However, the gift card redemption total is also being added into the Closeout Total for the day. The gift card money was collected when the card was purchased - not used. It should not be added into the Closeout Total. The closeout total with the gift card amount then does not match the deposit amount. It's an extra hassle for a retailer with multiple gift cards being redeemed daily.

  2. Create a feature that tracks edits made to an item in inventory, including initial creation, changes to cost, and quantities. This feature is paramount in helping users keep track of potentially lost goods and when Clover POS and Clover desktop was last sync'ed

  3. I would like to suggest that when using a QR code to accept a sale, that the app sends your phone a notification of the sale. I know xxxxx qr codes do that, it would be really nice if clover would notify us too. I use QR codes on merchandise that I have placed in retail locations, and I love the QR code feature! A notification would be amazing! Perhaps a little more information could be created too when creating a QR code, so when notified you would see, "Stan Green purchased a yellow whatcamacall it for $20.00 at Ann's…

  4. We would love to be able to track where customers are coming from. Maybe there can be an option to enter a zip code when a customer is making a sale. Or even tracking from the zip code connected to a credit card sale.

  5. I would like to zero out “on hand” quantities of ALL inventory in order to do a physical inventory of the store. This would allow us to see what items are still at zero after the inventory. We can then decide to delete items no longer carried at the store. We carry 2-3 thousand skus and dead inventory builds up. Maybe have a dead inventory or slow moving inventory report.

  6. There should be a way to see the card holder name after you submit the payment. You should be required to enter the customer name data before submitting payment.

  7. I have a client with over 240 locations, and they need to add a Manager with access to each instance of the Dashboard. I was told by numerous resources that the only way to achieve this is for the client to add the Manager, one by one, to each individual MID. There needs to be a way to perform this function at a high level and have it cascade down to each MID in the hierarchy so the client only has to do it one time. If we are trying to sell Clover up-market, we need more efficient management functionality…

  8. Clover needs to have the ability to set up Inventory Price Scheduling.
    Many Hospitality/Retail locations will charge different item prices depending on time of day.

    Inventory should have a base Price and then Price level 1, level 2, level 3. etc.
    "Events" or Schedules can be set to use a specific Price level changing all item pricing to that level during that time period.

    Many merchants do not like having Happy Hour displayed as discounts as that adds to confusion on the ordering and customer receipt side, they want the item price changed for that event/time period only. Many Hospitality…

  9. 1) Need a way to add new/existing item to a different order type on clover machine, not only on clover's website under Sales & taxes tab.

    2) If item is not added in a given order type, that item should not be allowed to be a part of that specific order type transaction.
