Welcome to the Clover Retail Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Retail merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Retail space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Retail Categories.

1. Order: Ideas relating to the process of creating and managing Orders.

2. Items & Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

3. Website: Ideas related to your Clover branded website.

4. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

5. Customer Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

6. Reporting & Analytics: Share your ideas to improve or enhance Clover's reporting functionality.

  1. When a merchant has multiple Clover Compacts, the need to close them individually is critical. We have a merchant that has 4 cashier windows and they have to have the ability to close and reconcile separately. The only Clover solution is the Clover Compact with another Compact acting as a PinPad through a security window. They also need to be able to run a totals report for that Compact. Cost is a factor as well.

  3. When performing a refund, the only option is to select payment form for the refund to return to. As a small nonprofit boutique, we'd like an option to select store credit so we can be guaranteed to keep the sale.

  4. The current inventory system shows the stock count for each item but doesn't display the total number of items sold or remaining in stock. It would be helpful to add a summary that shows both the total quantity in stock and the total number of items sold for better tracking.
    Also, it would be very helpful if new items imported into the inventory were automatically set to 'automatically manage availability' rather than 'manually manage availability.' Currently, we have to change this setting for each item, which is time-consuming and prone to errors. Setting all items as automatic will help us…

  5. We have been using the Clover rewards program for almost a year now. If a customer has a certain amount of points, say 1000 or more, and they decide to redeem a part or all, there is no option to do that. The option that is presently available is that they can only redeem 50 points out of the total. Eventually, with this method, they will keep accumulating more points without being able to benefit from it.   6. On Clover.com, in the Sales Activity > Transactions section, Payments, Voids, Manual Refunds, Refunds and Authorizations are all broken up into seperate sections. For reconciliation purposes, my merchant is manually exporting Payments, then Refunds, then Voids and stitching those three exports together. Hoping that these broken up sections will all be better integrated into a single section in the future. This is also a gap between Payeezy and Clover. Payeezy put all the various transaction types into a single screen, and exportable report.

  7. The new Retail Growth Plan has "Printer Labels" within the Inventory, and it is confusing for retailers that want to print barcode labels. Please update the plan to change the verbiage and/or to enable merchants to print barcodes/labels for retail.

  9. I am considering changing my hours of operations; considering closing on Tuesdays at 5pm instead of 8pm. In order to see what sales were on Tuesdays nights vs Tuesday daily total for the past 3 or 6 months to determine if this would be a good idea, I would have to run 2 reports for each tuesday for 13 or 26 tuesdays this is 50+ reports. Each report has to have a start time, end time, report type, etc.

  10. have a way to enter special or hloiday hours on specific days so we do not have to change the regular schedule for the week and come back and change the hours again. this would be very helpful as my online partners rely on the info from clover for their hours

  11. Some merchants offer the ability to have Door Dash deliver their retail goods and/or they have a small deli integrated into their establishment that will use doordash - however, the Retail Growth plan, while it does offer Online Ordering, does not allow integration with services such as Door Dash.

  12. I have three locations. If I enter a new item to my menu, I have to enter it three times. Much like the Menu addition to the item, or the Show on POS & Available sliders. Please make a slider on/off type switch that I can add the item to one, two, or all three locations on the initial entry of the new item.

  14. I migrated my pos to Clover and I am not that happy. It has no basic options like giving offers to customers like buy 1 get 1 free or buy 1 get 50% off to each product.
    When we add each product to the inventory, need the option to add offers to each products.

  15. Recently Clover released a new version of the Employee Sales Report under Reporting. The previous employees report showed the total number of transactions ran that day per employee. This was helpful for my retail merchants for a number of reasons. One in particular was so they can calculate their employees average ticket size.

    Strangely enough the New Employee sales report does show the average ticket size but it is only available and viewable on the Employee Sales Report in the Dashboard. not on the devices :(

    That being said a vast majority of my retail merchants noticed the change immediately…

  16. Is it possible to add the Customer name to the Receipt that is printed from the portal? Also, instead of having to go to "Transactions" to view payment receipt it would be nice to have a "print receipt" button on the payment complete screen.

  17. We have found that the default receipt size on the portal is too large, resulting in it printing on 2 pages. In order to adjust this we change it manually using the "more settings" for the printer. I know things vary from one printer to the next but it would be nice to have the size fit to 1 (Letter) sized page or have it "Fit to Printable Area" by default.

  18. Enhancement for Clover Gift Card App --

    When setting up the Clover Gift Card App, enable on-screen prompts for the user so that it prevents them from setting up a secondary gift card entitlement number, causing unnecessary impact to the user. Potential probing prompts on screen, such as:

    1. Do you already have a Gift Card Entitlement Number?

      • If so, enter here ____ - then it would allow user to enter entitlement number, syncing and chaining the location to all other locations which share the same entitlement number
    2. Do you plan to use gift cards at other locations?

  20. Multiple item pictures. Clover Retail Growth Plan online shopping needs to have the ability to add multiple pictures to each item. Customers purchasing online need to be able to see all sides of the product as well as close-up pictures of product labels. Having the ability to only add one picture per item will hurt online sales.
