Welcome to the Clover Retail Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Retail merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Retail space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Retail Categories.

1. Order: Ideas relating to the process of creating and managing Orders.

2. Items & Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

3. Website: Ideas related to your Clover branded website.

4. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

5. Customer Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

6. Reporting & Analytics: Share your ideas to improve or enhance Clover's reporting functionality.

  1. We have business for customers we want to retrieve. Right now we can only get FirstName LastName which isn't useful for businesses.

  2. It would be nice if an image can be duplicated along with item details. xxxxx does this with a set of check boxes that show up when you select "duplicate" .

  3. Any data older than 30 days is no longer stored on the Clover POS device, forcing users to access a computer for this information. This change impacts business operations by requiring additional equipment that was previously unnecessary, leading to a negative customer experience. I expect this issue to become more significant in the retail environment as we approach the holiday season when returns over 30 days are more common. Additionally, we can no longer search by a customer's last name, nor can we see if they received a discount or used reward points, which affects merchant profit margins.

  4. I can delete one customer at a time, but I cannot delete all my customers and start fresh. Please add that option.

  5. Clover Online Ordering needs its own tip suggestion control. Currently, it follows the tip settings for in-store Station. Many businesses would like the ability to set different tip suggestions or even turn off tipping for pickup orders.

  6. manual Refund must link to customer or we have to be able to do refund of any amounts to customer not just by item or total.

  7. After we process a payment, there should be an option to select a main email accounts to send the payment receipt. At the moment, we have to manually type in the email account each time we want to send the receipt to our email.

    This will save time and also reduce error by not needing to manually type in the email for most transactions.

  9. A way to upload a file for tax rates would be beneficial for the VT merchants that have to manually choose tax rates based on where they are shipping goods. Right now each tax rate has to be manually uploaded if they do not have items.

  10. Would be nice if it included everything when you export reports. Example the ship to address for sales tax use. At the moment we have to go back into the transaction to get the address and put it in manually.

  12. Include Discount Button(s) on Payment Screen (rather than having to choose it on order screen). Guests do not usually present discount cards until the payment process, so we find cashiers having to back out, click the discount pull-down, then choose a discount. Having up to 2 discounts and a third button that links to existing discount pop-up) would save time and effort.

    Having up to 3 discount buttons would be great!

  13. Sometimes due to whatever reason, a few customer's online order will not get sent to the printer and Clover will send an email notification. It would be best if the order is attempted to be resent to the printer to prevent any misunderstanding or inconvenience. Not all merchants have access to their email to check for missing orders so just an email notification is not the best solution.

  14. The Clover does not allow for more advanced searching capabilities such as plu for grocery stores which is crucial for business with large inventory and bulk inventory. When My merchant searches let's say 222 it comes up with all items that have 222 in them and the grocery store assistant has to scroll down forty plus options to get to the item. My merchant told me a 20 year old dos pos can do it so a 20th century pos should be able to do it at bare minimum. This is going to lose you business and needs to be…

  16. most of my menu items have 3 sizes/prices. To save room, I have the item listed, and clicking the item reveals the sizes and prices. This is fine. My issue, is that the item itself shows a price of $0.00. That's confusing and embarrassing. I suggest that if a price is set to $0.00, the price should not show at all. I have several items, so to save space and lots of customer scrolling to find their items they want, this system works best for our online menu. i don't want to have to triple the size of my online…

  17. No Cash Option for EBT
    We would like a way to make it so the merchant can shut off the "cash" option for EBT/SNAP benefits when checking out a customer.

  18. When entering stock quantities, the staff is able to add more than the amount stocked to check...why? Isn't that the entire reason for adding the stocked quantity?

  19. There was an option within an order that would take you directly to the customer's profile (marked by a blue box with a pencil inside of it, just below the employee's name that was taking the order). Can you please add that back in? I noticed it missing about 8 days ago. I thought it was a setting on my end, but it was due to a software update.

  20. recently CRA audited us and they did not like your logged version of transaction since they were looking for the actual receipts. Please add a toggle button to turn on/off 2 receipts under printing setting. I was very disappointed to learn that Clover has removed this option to print 2 receipts at the same time and now its manually done.
