Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

  1. I have not heard of this in circulation and would be a unique feature that most point of sales do not offer. Here is the functionality.

    When a a customer calls, the system identifies the phone number and matches it to an existing customer profile in the Clover Point of sale. If a match is found the profile is displayed on the clover device, allowing staff to view or edit details, or create new sale or order. If no profile exists, it prompts the creation of a new one using the caller's information/or just phone number.

  2. When you are entering a new item and add the price, category, costs and inventory numbers the Revenue drop down does not save when you hit save. You have to go back into the item and redo it and hit save again and it will then work. That is so time consuming and would be great to get fixed!

  3. Team, The new dashboard version removed adding inventory with decimal places. I buy and sell an item that is by weight and not in exact whole numbers. Please allow adding and removing inventory with decimal places.

  5. PINdebit cutoff time for next-day funding is 6:30PM EST while credit is 9:30PM EST. If PINdebit transactions are ran too late for next-day funding, you should include that as a caveat on the batch report/email because as of now, PINdebit transactions are included with the rest of the batch and obviously it doesn't match the deposit because they are ran too late to fund next-day. This causes endless confusion for merchants who accept PINdebit. Please include the following: "These transactions were ran too late to fund next-day, and will be included in the next days deposit."

  6. We need to option to select a gift receipt per item,
    Lets say customer buys 2 items , but only one of them is a gift for someone

    Now, the only way to do if it gets splitted into two transactions

  7. Today you can only send one reminder to the client to pay their invoice. Most other providers allow you to send as many as needed to encourage payment.

    Today you have to cancel an invoice after sending one reminder and create a new one. This is a waste of time.

  8. On the multi dash it would be nice to be able to export inventory out. If you can let Multi dashboard be like the regular dashboards I think that would be great. It would also be nice to create any report we want. Don't understand the submit thing on it.

  9. Overrides For Managers: a chip card for the Station Duo or 2FA with a QR code for over rides. The Chip card could be inserted into the Mini. QRs of course would be scanned via managers phone, they confirm via code and the override is successful. This would totally eliminate the use of the managers pin and potential for other issues

  10. Please bring this back, my merchant just started processing today and the Clover rep said you all just pushed an update , taking away items on the receipt. they are considering returning it, that will not work for them 1/22/25

  11. UNDER ITEM, ON BULK EDIT AND EDIT YOU CANNOT CHANGE COST, YOU HAVE TO GO IN THE ACTUAL ITEM TO CHANGE COST. THIS IS TIME CONSUMING. I WOULD LIKE TO BE ABLE TO CHANGE CATAGORY AND MODIFIYER ON EDIT AS WELL INSTEAD OF GOING TO BULK EDIT.

  12. For the Clover Subscription "Growth Retail" we need the option to include delivery so products can be shipped to the customer's location instead being picked up at the location. Similar to xxxxx eCommerce delivery.

  13. Add a Variable Price Per Unit option to the Price Type drop down menu for each Item. When used, the cashier can input the price per pound for each item.

  14. Being able to refund $0 transactions. We give out 1st-8th place medals and we use Clover to track the inventory on the 200,000+ medals we have. We use this data for Grant Reporting as well. Not being able to simply refund the transaction due to an error, greatly creates a manual task as the only option is to add manually add these back to inventory.

  16. There needs to be a report for failed recurring payments. How are we supposed to know if a payment has failed without a report?

Some merchants offer the ability to have Door Dash deliver their retail goods and/or they have a small deli integrated into their establishment that will use doordash - however, the Retail Growth plan, while it does offer Online Ordering, does not allow integration with services such as Door Dash.

  18. I have three locations. If I enter a new item to my menu, I have to enter it three times. Much like the Menu addition to the item, or the Show on POS & Available sliders. Please make a slider on/off type switch that I can add the item to one, two, or all three locations on the initial entry of the new item.

  20. Is it possible to add the Customer name to the Receipt that is printed from the portal? Also, instead of having to go to "Transactions" to view payment receipt it would be nice to have a "print receipt" button on the payment complete screen.
