Clover Mini and Station Needs New Pin Debit Option (discontinuing Merchant Keypad)
With the discontinuing of the Clover Merchant Keypad, the Clover Mini and Station needs an alternative way to take Pin Debit. Merchants cannot rely on having to swivel screen around or pick up and face customer every time. You will get an abundance of "Tampered" errors disabling pin debit. We need either a better merchant keypad to allow customers to enter pin on Mini(perferred) or a pin pad to allow customers to enter pin without having to move the Clover Mini around.
Hello,
There are third party apps that provide this capability, one that we recommend is Zoomifi Remote Pay: https://www.clover.com/appmarket/apps/DFPRTDY06ZK9Y?clientCountry=US
Our Integrated Payment solutions could support a custom integration for this feature as well.
Thanks,
Clover Product

We have waited for three years now for a solution to this problem and have lost many customers to alternate systems. As those competitors make gains on Clover and the basic need of a simple pin pad (tethered or portable) continue to be ignored, customers are more and more deciding to go with alternate options that meet their needs more fully. Please make this a priority. Please take the customers needs into consideration. This is a great system, and this is a simple ask. Stop trying to force two Clover Mini's and two SaaS fees on those customers when all they need is a FD40 style device with contactless options which is durable and reliable.

Design a Pin pad that is low cost for merchants. This can be similar to the fd40 the clover station once had. Customers need this for pin entry and also EBT. Have the ability for customer to tether Clover Flex as pin pad as an option.

A lower cost solution to tethering a mini in a fast pace business environment where a customer facing device is needed. Think locations with glass partitions.

This is a very urgent need. I had a deal waiting to close for a mini/pin pad combo and 2 days after the pin pad was discontinued I realized I could not provide said combo. The merchant totally refused a tethered mini(2) solution due to the amount of space on her counter and objected to the extra expense.
