Returns and Exchanges Help
Hi - I am the manager of a small to mid size retail store and we are really struggling with returns and exchanges on the Clover. Especially at the time of purchase, we aren't able do an exchange and issue a credit on the same transaction. If we could do that, our lives would be a lot easier. In addition- we would like for manual refunds to have an item associated to the dollar amount going back to customer for inventory reasons. Thank you

Be able to scan the barcode on the receipt to pull up the transaction automatically to process a return

Yes, need to be able to refund line items on the order. I can only figure out how to refund the whole order which is not acceptable. They return itemA, I need to process a refund for that item only. Then what happens to inventory after a refund is a separate ask. Would be happy with simply improving the refund abilities.

We need to make partial returns. You have removed this functionality and only allow a full return on a payment. We are in the wedding business and take deposits. Even when we return the full amount of the damage deposit, the return of it is only a portion of the last payment. All of the sudden in 2023, this is no longer available. Unacceptable. We cannot give our clients back 2-3K and then ask them to pay us back most of that after we refund it all. Who's to say they will? If I write a check to them and can never enter a negative number, then I can't track negative payments on your system and all your reports are useless.
