SERVICE FEES ARE TAXED
The additional fees button adds the fee below the tax line--this is not correct. Any fee that is not voluntary is taxable in CA.

We are requesting Clover to add additional functionality to allow SERVICE FEES to be subject to local sales tax.
My restaurant has added a Service Fee charge in Clover. In D.C. service fees are subject to sales tax, however, Clover currently does not support adding sales tax to Service Fees. This means that the business has no way of collecting the 10% sales tax as required by law.
It's costing us $3,000 per month in uncollectible sales tax which we are required to pay.
Currently, in order to correctly calculate sales tax, our accountant has to do extra calculations and book keeping, which is also an extra expense.
