Management Functions

Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

8. Other Management Suggestions: Place your idea here if you have feedback that does not fit in any of the other forum categories.

  1. The option to email the closeout report has been removed from the Dashboard with a recent update. This is problematic for merchants that only use Clover Go. There is also no setting in the Clover Go app that allows for this as well. Please bring back the setting to email the closeout report either on the Dashboard or in the Clover Go app.

  2. I am a vender in central Florida and have number of customers that are visiting.
    There is a growing number that buy items and request to have them shipped to their home across the US.

    The Clover device does not allow for shipping to be added without taxing the shipping cost. This presents a challenge in accounting and customers question the tax cost.

    Is it possible for develop the program to add shipping without adding ang cost.

  3. Need a mandatory line item on a QR code for organization or company. Must be exportable in a excel spreadsheet so we can sort by company or organization

  4. Logging into Clover, I see "respond to recent customer reviews" and a company that I never sold to. Checking and the company does not even exist. It looked like Clover was compromised. I called and was told to ignore this as it was advertising. I had PayEasy for years and nothing like this ever popped up. This is a business system. Get rid of the ads.

  5. Currently, we have multiple order types: dine in, takeout, and phone call. We have dine in selected as default. This is not very optimal because we are a fast casual restaurant and every customer that comes in is not always dine in. When we login to our pin, the first order type that shows up is dine in. We do not want this to be default. It has to be because we are forced to choose one. Please make it optional.

  6. When using the inventory or reporting functions, I would like to be able to expand the view horizontally to see more of the details of the items. As well, I would like to be able to see all of the items in the list without clicking on "see more" over and over again.

  7. Merchants need the ability to have nicknames for locations when they have multiple locations on the dashboard without affecting the name that prints out on the receipt, that would make it easier to toggle between locations instead of having to make checks to ensure merchants are accessing the correct account

  8. clover and or g2 app needs to email to businesses per transaction and deposit activity for our quick reference

  9. The removed items report includes items deleted in cart during online order. It messes up the report by a lot.

  10. Currently can only exchange item for another item of same value. Prefer exchange item for another item regardless of value, then be able to print receipt showing either the net amount refunded or the additional amount purchased.

  13. Merchant like the top 5 items and top 5 categories option on the dashboard.
    Merchant would like the ability to see top 5 labels on the dashboard but the option is not available on the dashboard merchant is requesting to provide a drop down option to pick from showing top items / top categories/ top labels.
    I was able to show merchant a work around to go to reporting items and look at the labels report , merchant already knew how to do that merchant really want the ability to toggle between the top chart to show to labels

  16. dashboard on device - Will not connect on station. Several merchants would like to easily access their online dashboard on the station. Its much easier for inventory ordering.
