Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

  1. This new update is GARBAGE. It is not user friendly at all. This is so terrible its added more time and steps on to an simple task. You now need to budget in 20 extra minutes just to add in any inventory. And forget about trying to quickly look up inventory how you used to. TALK ABOUT A HEADACHE. there are so many thins that happen in a day for retail/business owners that having to add extra steps to your simple task should not be one of them.   2. Merchant is only able to see 100 of his items in the category/label on his clover dashboard. Merchant is looking to be able to see all his items within his category/labels on his clover dashboard.

  3. Merchants complains because when login to the dashboard through his phone (he tried iPhone and android), the display is not programmed correctly, so he would see wider or bigger pictures and is not able to tap on buttons because he can't view them correctly.

  4. I would like to be able to adjust and set the width of my columns when looking at my items list. For example, decrease the width of the tax column and increase the width of my Item Name or UPC column. I can't always read the entire name or UPC and have to take the time to click on each particular item and then click on the item name and scroll over to see the end. It's time consuming and inconvenient.

  8. When viewing transactions in the dashboard it would be a huge help to have the ability to filter by Card Transaction Type. If we could separate Auth vs Pre-Auth it would allow us to determine how a transaction was processed and ultimately understand the timing of the funding. Sometimes when batches are not matching funding it is because a transaction went faster, typically when merchants are presenting the tip in various ways across different devices (tip on receipt vs tip on tablet.)

  10. I need you to add a payout button to my device so the employees can see the payouts and it will show on their reports. I also need it to show up on my dashboard

  12. When managing multiple locations with the same inventory and discounts it is extremely time consuming to be able to enter/manage discounts as they have to be entered individually under each Location. I would like for the discounts to be added to the Multi-Location dashboard like the Items etc are - with the ability to enter the discount 1 time and select which location it will apply to or at the location level be able 'select/unselect' which of the discounts apply to that location.

  13. When looking at the report sections on the dashboard it would be nice if you could sort revenue classes. I would like to see revenue classes be in the same order every single time, even if they didn't have sells for a given time period. This allows me to update quickbooks faster.

  14. We are unable, in Canada, to change from automatic closeout to manual closeout. Why??? This needs to change as our office closes different days and times/hours. With this set on Automatic closeout, we get a "grayed out" icon that we cannot closeout, therefore, we cannot get our daily totals so we can balance at the end of the night. We need to record our Visa/Mastercard/Debit totals on our own spreadsheet to determine if we balance with Clover. When is this going to be fixed in Canada? If it's available in other Countries, it should be available in Canada. We ONLY…

  15. Inventory - Items, the view needs to be fixed so that the full name of the item can be viewed. So the column width just needs to be expanded. Just a simple fix that would really help.

  16. The open orders on the dashboard doesn't display the correct amount or the correct open orders. It needs to be fixed. It was messed up during the last update a few weeks ago. This helps provide a better summary stats.

  17. Currently can only exchange item for another item of same value. Prefer exchange item for another item regardless of value, then be able to print receipt showing either the net amount refunded or the additional amount purchased.

  18. Living in a city with a separate tax from the state sales tax it is impossible to have both taxes set up as default. I can do this by combining the taxes as 1 tax, but then reporting does not separate the taxes. It would be nice if we were able to have the ability to have default applied & line items of 2 separate taxes.
    The growing trend of cities, municipalities, etc. with their own taxes would make this seem like a no brainer and shouldn't be a difficult addition

  19. Merchant would like to remove/delete telecheck transaction from the dashboard for accounting purposes. When a check isn't scanned successfully or if the wrong option is selected. The system assumes the check will be physically deposited that same day, so it adds it as a sale on the dashboard. Most merchants don't do that. They will rerun it and then their sales are incorrect for the day.

  20. Please add back the "alternate name" section on dashboard! I use it for all of my products and it is highly inconvenient that it was removed and can now only be viewed through the excel spreadsheet. It makes no sense for it to not be on the management side of dashboard seeing as it was there for years without issue.
