Allow Option for Stock Count To Decrease When Item is Fired instead of When item is paid
Restaurants need stock counts to have an option to decrease inventory when item is fired, not when item is paid. There should be a check box under the stock quantity section that will allow stock counts to automatically decrease when items are fired.

inventory
The inventory we have for sale are sometimes used for jobs as well, I need to be able to deduct inventory at cost so that profit will not be reported.
Either I need an item specific discount or a modifier that can be negative. Also, what's up with no low quantity alert and no inventory report? We need low quantity alert to see when we need to order new inventory. And we need inventory reports to evaluate how each item in the inventory is selling.

Expirey Date Tab
Hello,
I wanted to know if you can add a expiry option where products are added. I have a retail store For A Dollar Plus in Lititz Pennsylvania, and have over 5,000 items, and probably 2,500 or more have an expirey date. If it was an option then I can view products expirey dates in Inventory Report. Currently, I have to check products manually.
I would really appreciate it if this can be added to Clover.
Thank you,

Sorting Modifiers by Each Modifier
When adding modifiers it would be nice if all the same group modifiers would group together. Example would be half and half pizza. When selecting modifiers if you select right modifiers then left modifiers and a customer adds on another right modifier it goes under the left modifiers instead of up with the other right modifiers. When sending this to the printer it is harder for the pizza cook to keep track of what goes on which side.

Prompt Cashier for "A Name for the Order" while keeping order numbers
Prompt Cashier for "A Name for the Order" while keeping order numbers.
I like having order numbers to make sure the staff cook and make drinks in the order in which they were placed. But I also would like to have an option to require a prompt for "A name for the Order" without having to manually add an order note. Currently you can set the order number either to be automatic rolling numbers OR "manual" (where it prompts you to add a name or number) but there is no way to to select both.3 votes -
Providing a margin calculator near the cost/ price lines in inventory.
Under an inventory item, it would be helpful to see a 25%, 30%, 35%, 40% margins option near the cost and price lines. So staff can put in an item cost, and then just hit the percentage margin and have the price automatically calculated. Other POS systems have this capability. Saves time not having to pull out a margin calculator on our phone for every item.

check out items under assigned revenue class
We have 2 revenue classes for our grooming salon. 1 is service and the other is retail, because we sell dog food, supplies, etc. For some reason, everything is automatically rung out as "retail" even though our service items were created with the "service" revenue class assigned. Why don't items automatically ring up as their assigned class? This seems to defeat the purpose of having it.

86 an ITEM on CLOVER DEVICE
Need the ability to 86 an item quickly in the middle of service. Any employee should be able to do it as the chef yells out "86 the empanadas!!!" this way, online customers wouldn't be able to order empanadas for the day, for example. The 86 should reset the following day or whenever an employee "un86 it" to make it available again.

Clover needs to allow business owners to reorder their menu item modifiers in a way that meets the needs of their staff and business.
Clover needs to allow business owners to reorder their menu item modifiers in a way that meets the needs of their staff and business. I thought Clover was going to be able to meet & exceed the previous systems I have used but unfortunately I am finding that this is not the case. Clover needs to up their game!

Inventory Subcategory
PLEASE add another layer in the inventory app. Currently we have Categories and Items. We desperately need another layer in the inventory app such as Department or Subcategory. This will also greatly help us with our inventory app functionality. We have to constantly manipulate the system to make it work for our store.

Printer labels based on modifier
We need to be able to set up printer labels based on modifiers and not just items. If a restaurant sells an item like fish, chicken, and shrimp, the kitchen needs to get the order based on the modifier chosen. If the item is grilled/blackened, it needs to print to the grill, but if the item is fried, it needs to print to the fryer.
