Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

  1. It would be nice to have an additional filter added to the Orders app (Status) so that you could quickly sort Paid vs Unpaid orders. This is something that can be pulled by exporting the data, however that elongates the process.

  3. We have many bakeries using the Clover Station hardware/software.
    All of these bakeries are inputting orders that need to be picked up at a later date. Right now, they are putting the pick up date as a Note on the order.
    There is no way for them to pull a daily report that shows what items are scheduled to be picked up that day.
    It would be nice for bakeries to have a button or a calendar of some type that they can assign a pick up date and time to an order, and then pull a report of all…

  4. merchant stated it takes a lot of time using the new inventory layout because she has to click on "show more" to view more items ; merchant stated the old layout was much easier to use. merchant stated once she gets the bottom of the list she has to start over and not enough space left for item name

  5. Enhancing Clover's retail variant capabilities to support creation of variants via the Web Dashboard and Importing of variants via Spreadsheet

    Many retailers sell at least some merchandise with variants. Clover offers no way to import such inventory when we sell Clover to an existing business, nor does Clover allow merchants to create and manage variants via the Web Dashboard.

    Clover's retail variants cannot be created or effectively managed via the Web Dashboard.

  6. I operated a thrift store and most of our items are one and done. We would like to be able to have automatically manage inventory become our default or we would at least like to be able to select it in bulk for items.

  7. Multi-Location Inventory management functionality is subpar compared to the existing functionality in individual location dashboards.

    We urgently need export/import functionality for bulk item, categories, labels and location assignment editing. We have 2000 items that has to be centrally managed (via Multi-location dashboard) and synced between all locations. It is unrealistic to go and change 2000 items from begin with.

    Also it is unrealistic to Multi-location manage items from Web dashboard only. Individual clover terminals at different locations has to offer a feature to edit according properties for location, category, label assignment and those shall propagate to all other locations if…

  8. I need my Managers to be able to access the Multi-User Dashboard to enter new items in inventory. With only Owner access, it means I must create all new inventory items. Otherwise, my Manager has to create it in one location and then duplicate it in our second retail location.

  9. We continue to have issues with our inventory system due to common scenario when a customer calls in an order or emails an order. The problem is we are unable to enter the order into clover without them paying for it at that time. What happens we can enter the order and save it, but it doesn’t take the product out of inventory. While we wait for the customer to come in and pay, someone else on line or in store can still purchase the item and buy it from underneath the customer who has it on hold because it…

  10. The alternate name field disappeared form the Inventory Add Item screen on 7/23/21. Requesting this field be added back to the screen. It is still in the export. Our business uses it regularly.

  11. It would be great if the inventory bulk import capability could be enhanced to include the "Min Required" and "Max Allowed" fields for each Modifier in the Modifier Groups worksheet so that you have a fully functional bulk import capability. I'm not sure how this was missed from the original design? The bulk import capability is a nice tool, but from a user experience perspective, it is currently painful to have manually configure the "Min Required" and "Max Allowed" fields for each Modifier. This is even more painful when you have multiple locations with the same menu items.

  12. Adjustments to the inventory need a way to be tracked and logged. Otherwise anyone with access could just change an items inventory to say whatever and walk away with the difference. the lack of this feature is surprising honestly.

When merchant create a new item on the device and try to select category to add the new items to the list that come up need to have the categories in order so merchant can find them merchant have a lot of categories and every time she add new items merchant is having a hard time adding the item to her categories because the list is not consistent

  14. Currently the register permission "delete an item from an order" restricts the employee from deleting an item both before it is fired and after it is fired. We need the ability to allow an item to be deleted before it is fired and restrict the item from being deleted after it is fired.

  16. Closeout: Client wants to request a feature where their employees shouldn't be able to closeout the batch if they have any open orders inside of the current date.

  18. Ability for open order to show up in the customer's app. Also, Open orders should be display indefinitely until paid so we are able to remind clients o payment. For me it is imperative to be able to invoice clients and remind them of payment overdue. Open payments are very important.

  20. So every time I try to add some new item in my system from clover go app I need to type the upc code manually which so time consuming and annoying. If you guys add a barcode scanning option in clover go app for adding new items in inventory it will make our system more easy and convenient for all the users.
